Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I don’t know too much about this other than I am pretty sure, according to the serial number on the frame, that this was built in December of 1942. This rolls very easily to get it on a trailer. No title.”

This Seffes Auctioneers estate auction is for the Ken Yuly Military Vehicle collection. There are quite a few different jeep vehicles. There are MBs, GPWs, M-151s, M-170s, M-38s, M-274s, CJ-2A, trailers, parts, military Dodges, and more.
Looks in good shape. If the engine is a V8, you might want to check the frame for twisting. Those MB/GPW stock frames didn’t have the strongest metal.

“The jeeps were all completely disassembled individually, labeled and put back together maintaining their integrity. They took about 2 years to restore all three. All will need a tune up to start and run. They were put away running last fall. All these jeeps have original bodies and frame, All sandblasted and primed all three bodies and frames. These have original WWII era engines and running gear, All the trannys have been rebuilt. New wiring harnesses, rebuilt. rebuilt two of the engines and did the head on the other, These are restored to WWII specs using quality WWII aftermarket, WWII used and NOS parts. They are not perfect, but all complete and solid jeeps. Clean CA titles on all three.
If you buy all three, I will throw in two engines, a gpw transfer and a bunch of extra parts.”
This includes a variety of parts, along with the military style (pentagon, metro) hardtop.

“Up for sale is a pretty special 1945 Willys MB Military Jeep. This unit is chassis #459405 (production ended at 459874 in Sept 1945) and body #262829 making it one of the final 500 Jeeps produced during WWII. It has excellent bones and will be a great restoration project.

Body number still visible on driver toe-board gusset (262829)
Correct D25 front and D27 rear axles
T84 transmission
Jerry can holder, spare tire mount, bumperettes, handles, pioneer tool hardware all present
