This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This GPW was supposedly found in Tunisia and restored in Italy. It will go up for auction in Germany (if I understand correctly) March 26-27.

No reason to think it’s a ’41. It might have an f-head engine. It has a GPW body.

“1945 Ford GPW Jeep made for WW2 multiple “F” stamped bolts, tool boxes. Awesome project. Has a running Buick V6 engine in it. Runs and Drives . Brand new brakes all around , new master cylinder. Warren overdrive. 4×4 high and low work perfectly. Comes with trailer to tow it .”
UPDATE: Was $8900. Now for trade, though likely listed there to avoid the $5 fee.

“This is a 1942 ford GPW has a willys 1950’s 134f and t-90 trans. From California very little rust. Fun To drive. Not a show rig been repainted several times, was blue years ago, I was planning to restore it one day comes with some extra parts. Run’s and drives very well. New brakes. Needs a gas tank its running on a boat one under the seat. Comes with hood because the one on it has a hole in it . Let me know if you are interested. may trade for a Kubota or similar tractor, dodge diesel 4×4 or?”

(10/24/2019) This is one of the reconditioned jeeps by the Higgins Plastics Company.
“43 Ford GPW WW2 military Jeep…NOTE…Hard top shown in some pics has been removed and replaced with an original windshield….Hard top is not included in the sale (negotiable)…Has very early Willys MB motor….According to the tags, this Jeep was reconditioned in 1945 by ‘Higgins’ company in New Orleans..It is a mix of Ford GPW and Willys MB components….Good candidate for a ‘Motor pool’ restoration, or parade/re-enactment Jeep…Jeep is complete…New front bumper…Body is very solid, but needs some tin work…Not running, motor is soaking, does not turn yet…16″ wheels and very nice NDT tires…$6000…Sold with Bill of Sale, Vermont doesn’t issue titles for older vehicless”
