UPDATE: **SOLD** was on EBay.
This is listed as a Mighty Mite, which it isn’t, but at a starting bid of $150 this looks like a good parts M-151 for someone. This is part of an estate sale.
“You are looking at a Mighty Mite Jeep that is being sold as part of an estate sale. I wish I could give you a year but I simple do not know an refuse to mis-represent the products I sell, but it Produced in the 50’s for the U.S. Marine Corp, with less then 4000 ever made. This is a desert car so the body is very well preserved. The motor is still there but has not been started for many years and is missing the carb. It dose has the fold down wind shield but the glass is missing, You will also notice that the seats are not there either. There I a old, hand crank winch in the car that is also part of the sale. There is no title, but with an old car like this it should not be hard to get. This would be great for restoring or built out to an off road beast.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
It runs, but it looks like it has been stuck in the field for a while.
“All original. Comes with extra set of tires/wheels and transmission.Has tow bar. Frame for canvas top.24 volt system. Clear title. Runs. Located in London Texas. 18 miles North of Junction off I10. Serious inquiries only.”
This is a running M-151, though it is certainly dirty.
“I am selling my jeep because I have to many toys and some have to go. 68 m151a1 four cylinder four speed four wheel drive. Has not been registered in about 15 years. I started it last year and the motor sounded pretty good. I took the carb off to rebuild it and now I am tired of it. Definitely needs some love but its pretty much complete. Not desperate to sell so dont low ball me. I dont have any paperwork on it. If intrested call me, text email whatever. 2500obo 916-792-1962”
UPDATE: Was $11,500. **SOLD**
Bill pointed out that this is actually a M-151A2 Encore. These were built using the M-151A2 running gear for a couple years in the late 90s. You can read more about them at the G503.com site. Here are good pics of another Encore. Here’s the discussion of the body at the G838.org site. I tried to find more info on the history of Encore, but didn’t have success, though it went out of business around 1999.
Greg pointed out this unusual M-151. It’s not clear to me if this was built from scratch or rebuilt, but it sure looks like a pretty new vehicle. In that sense, it’s a rather rare vehicle. If this WAS built from new parts, then $25,000 isn’t all that high of price to have someone built a vehicle from scratch. Including the cost of labor, building a jeep from scratch with new parts would likely land in the $25000 realm. The ad includes lots of pics.
“You are looking at a titled re-creation of a MUTT M151/ army jeep. In 1999 this Jeep was built in Clearwater, Florida for a jeep enthusiast that had a home in Utah as well. It was shipped to Utah in 2002 and used for local driving and recreational use. This vehicle has also won a few trophies in local car shows. In 2009 the Jeep was shipped back to his home in Palm Beach, Florida where it sat in storage. This vehicle is like new with only 400 actual miles. Everything is in working order and it runs like a 400 mile Jeep should. This vehicle cost over $25,000.00 to have built. There loss is your gain. I am only asking $11,900.00. I am open to all reasonable offers.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3750.
(12/4/09) This looks in decent shape.
“This is a great deer lease jeep! The M-151 is the military jeep that replaced the Willys jeep for a utility vehicle. It is a shift on the fly 4-wheel drive with full independent suspension. Has the original canvas top. $3750 obo”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7995.
Not much specific info about this M-151A1.
“This 1964 Kaiser M151A1 was designed by Ford Motor Co. with guidance for the US Army..s Truck Automotive Command. Development work began in the early 50s and after several years of experimenting with different framing materials as well as suspension options the Willies or Kaiser M151A1 was born … Our mechanic has completed a full inspection of the vehicle and is more than happy to go over it with you.”
This was a Vietnam Vet’s vehicle and has been in dry storage for 25 years.

w/ Soft Top with Doors, Fuel Can, Heater (Works!), Spare Clutch, Windshield Ugraded to M151A2 Version! 2 New Batteries! Cranks but won’t start……”
This looks in very good shape for the price.
“This is an ex-military Jeep made by Kaiser. It was stationed at Ford Ord military base in central California during Vietnam. This was called a Fast Attack Vehicle used by all the armed forces. This one was an ARMY Jeep. The original odometer still works and shows 15,000 miles. It is 4 wheel drive like most Jeeps but these have full independent suspension with A-arms instead of leaf springs. Many things have been replaced with original parts. The only thing I had left to do was install the headlight switch assembly. Thats why I say it’s about 95% restored. It runs and drives good.”
