A rare Willys Cargo-Personnel Carrier is about to undergo a restoration by the Ione Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West. This one is in pretty rough shape and sports the 6-226 Hurricane Motor. However, the running gear had already been gone through.
Information and specs beyond the brochure are difficult to find. Even good photos of them are rare. If anyone has any additional information on these, email Robert at buckydodle@yahoo.com.
Below are some pics of the jeep:
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500
(12/08/2014) Glenn spotted this ad. Seller owns several of them.

Goose spotted this beautiful Crosley. Not a jeep, but still pretty cool.
“In 1950 Crosley Motors introduced the Farm-O-Road truck. The truck was street legal and there for could be used on both the farm and the road. Crosley built the trucks for 3 years from 1950-1952. Exact numbers of how many of these trucks where built are unknown but the Crosley club believes around 600 where produced.
Looks like a nice rig.

“Ultra Rare J20C / CJ3B Hardtop Jeep made by Mitsubishi in Japan.
This Jeep was imported about 6 years ago. California title currently non-op.
1974, no smog test required.
4 Cylinder engine is almost identical to the Willys F head engine, many parts
interchange. New paint, new headliner, seats recovered.
3 speed column shift, RIGHT HAND DRIVE.
4 wheel drive works perfect.
Very rare even in Japan.
Compare to all the other jeeps for sale on craigslist, this jeep is not a pile of junk.”
Still needs the steering and brakes finished.
“1942 Willys Jeep 4×4 3spd in decent condition lifted onto Rockwell 5 Ton Axles, 11.00×20 tires, small block Chevy engine
-the jeep does has a clean “rebuilt” New Mexico title
-will need tie rod and steering arm to complete the project along with differential brakes
****Any reasonable offer will be considered, I’m moving and cant take the project with me so I would be most interested in trades for firearms, ATV’s and of course cash”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“Most parts interchange with Willys CJ-3B, the Mahindra CJ-540P 4WD is an updated, long wheel-base version of the 1950’s Willy’s CJ-3B design that was built under license by Mahindra in India from the 1950’s until 2011. Although it is a few inches longer than an original CJ-3B, it is still a 2-door, flat-fender model (only has a little more legroom than the original front and back seat layouts). This Jeep is a 1990 model, free title, licensed in Louisiana, unrestored, no rust, NEEDS A TUNE-UP but it runs-stops-drives, 4cl willys hurricane engine, 2 speed transfer case. Need to see – Mahindra did update some of the CJ-3B stuff such as it now has a hydraulic clutch, 3-point seat belts (front only), turn signals, and other MINOR updates/improvements over the 1950’s vintage Willys design. Otherwise, it’s like they were built back in the 50’s! See pics – this vehicle is in very good un-restored condition.”
Bob spotted this high-end ‘jeep’, that is so high end the name ‘jeep’ doesn’t appear anywhere in its description. I think it’s hilarious that the web page includes the ability to add the jeep to a shopping cart of items. Clearly, I am not among Filson’s demographics, because it is a Seattle company that I’ve never heard of.
