Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “47 Willy’s truck was owned by my friends father who purchased it new. This is a complete willy’s. It has been repainted to protect it from corrosion other that it is the same truck that drove out of the mnts. Runs like a top. Must see. 131,200 miles Hurricane 4cyl.”

“This is a rare/hard to find willys tow truck. I was going to restore it,but just don’t have the time. The motor is a hurricane 6 cylinder flat head. It did run when I bought it. The battery is long been dead from sitting. The body is in rough shape but everything else seems to be solid. Come bye n take a look, make a offer. Any question you can call me, thanx.”

Mike’s got this truck project for sale.
“For sale or trade, 1961/62 Willys truck on a 1991 S10 chassis and running gear. The project is about 1/2 done. Frame work is done, cab is mounted, I don’t have a box but I do have rear fenders, tailgate, an S10 truck floor and stake pockets to build a box. The running gear is all stock S10, 2.8 V6 with a 5 speed, I ran all new brake lines, new fuel lines, new tie rod ends, new front and rear brakes, new shocks on front. Cab corners are patched, I used the original S10 cab floor and firewall and fit it to the Willys cab.
Needs front and rear glass and seals, and cowl patch panels. Lots of potential for a really reliable but cool looking vintage truck. All the mechanical stuff you can get from NAPA.
I would be open to trading for a vintage VW Beetle, project or running.”
