This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Truck is in working condition. Has v6 and 3 speed trans, hi and lo gange works well.
Chevy running gear and suspention. Interior was re-done 3 yars ago. Comes with tonnue
cover and tire rack. Truck is solid steel no bondo!!! Great Truck for total restoration!

(08/21/2010) Last night I spotted this Truck for sale. The seller, Brian, doesn’t provide much detail, however he does provide a link to stories about his Truck. And let me tell you, they had me laughing (in that kind of Oh SHIT manner). For example, two stories involved failed brakes in precarious spots. “Back in the Spring of 1976 I bought my 1960 Willys Jeep pickup. It’s been at the center of many fine adventures, including driving it to Seattle from Bozeman in 1980. Recently, though, it’s pretty much been relegated to my garage and I think it’s time find someone who can care for the old guy the way he deserves. You really need to see this truck to to fully appreciate this virtually all original vehicle. “this is a 1949 willys jeep truck , I have just lost intrest. everything you see was built about ten years ago. this jeep has a nova subframe, four link rear suspension with coil over shocks. i believe the motor mounts have been moved to fit a big block. the wheels are centerline warriors, the front wheels are new in box, also i have a new set of phantom autometer guages, and a new 16 gallon fuel cell with straps. all body work was 90 percent complete ten years ago. this jeep needs a new home and i need the extra room. this jeep would be a one of a kind”

The seller knows the front gear ratio, but not the back. That’s some honesty, but ya have to wonder why? The drive train sounds good if you need a crawling truck.
“Chevy 400 inch small block V8. Aluminum manifold w/Holly 4 barrel carb. Headers with new Flowmaster dual exhaust. SM420 4speed. 7.05:1 low gear. Modle 18 t/case w/Warn Overdrive New rear drive shaft. Ford 9″ rear axle, ratio unknown. Original Dana 27 front axle, 4.88:1 ratio w/posi. Saginaw power steering. Project with alot of potential.”

Here’s an example of a truck on a suburban frame. Trucks sure get put on all kinds of different chassis’s!
