About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“CJ5 JEEP 4×4 Plow truck Willy’s by Kaiser Jeep Corporation 1960. With Title Factory Locking Hubs. Starts and Runs but needs tune up. Brakes need work. New clutch. Spare fiberglass cab top. Plow cylinder needs repair.
“I am selling my used/rebuilt Willys Jeep CJ-3A. I purchased this out of Texas a year or so ago, registered and titled it, but never seem to have the time to use it. Too many projects, not enough time so it’s time to let it go (selling all my CJ items).
This is a very nice rebuilt CJ-3A, which was mechanically gone thru as well as new paint. It is not perfect and the original tub was re-used without any work done to it that I can tell (i.e. dents, holes, etc still there); previous owner liked the proverbial “patina” of it. Starts, runs, drives, and stops; I haven’t used it in over a year, so brought it out of storage.
“Great project jeep: Owned for 44 years, this jeep used on dairy farm for 17 years and then put in storage. 4 cylinder, flathead engine, runs smooth. Has original old-school locking hubs. Needs brakes. A great project for street or off-road use.”
The VEC body is rough, but this does have column shift parts and a supersonic head.
“1946 Willys Jeep 4×4, incomplete, no paperwork, no title, I mistakenly paid 1500 for this and now willing to lick my wounds after a dip in lake stupid. I was told this is a 1946 as it is a 3 speed on the column, and has the two sticks on the transmission.
Lets be clear, I do not need a lesson on values, on what it takes to re-do a Willys, to be honest I don’t need anymore lessons on anything.
What you see is what you get, there is no secret stash of New Old Stock parts that I am squirreling away.
We almost had it running, lost spark and interest when the rotor fell apart, engine block is good, turns over no problem, and is very complete, was told early block as it has an “oval pad” behind the oil filler.
Has locking hubs, and a pretty decent frame, not trying to be rude in my description, oh well sorry my wife doesn’t like me either, so ill get over it. Its like a 1947 1948, and maybe a 1949
Happy to answer any questions that I have not covered, and this is located in BANGOR PENNSYLVANIA 18013
if that’s not in your Gas Monkey wheel house to get to that’s ok too.
God Bless, and have a wonderful day.”
