“Totally restored from frame up in 1997-98. All original drivetrain and body. Has all ambulance accessories such as both original stretcher racks, reel light, seats, complete NOS top with original doors, wheel well pads, etc. One of the few complete ambulance version M170’s around.

Drives and stops as it should. 24 volt system. All lights work. The only things wrong are the non-working temp gauge, tranny sometimes jumps out of second gear (a common issue with older Jeeps), and there is a “tick” in the clutch area that has no effect on the clutch or tranny shifting correctly. Just showed up several years ago and hasn’t had any effect on performance. Steering stabilizer added in 1998 to stop shimmy that occurred over hard bumps. No problem since.

Award winner and has been on cover of Military Vehicles Magazine and featured in Antique Truck magazine.

Registered in CT. bill of sale only.

This is a rare jeep model with only approx. 5000 made. This one has all the hard to find M170 parts and accessories. Very hard to find complete.”

1947 Truck Phoenix, AZ BAT Auction

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Blaine spotted the auction for this nicely refurbed truck. Current bid is $5000.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1947-willys-truck/

“This 1947 Willys Jeep Truck is a first-year example that was acquired by the seller in 2016 and subsequently refurbished at The Jeep Farm in Waddell, Arizona. The exterior was refinished in Bedford Grey with Challenger Blue accents, and the interior was reupholstered in Pendleton blanket fabric and blue vinyl. The 2.2L Go-Devil inline-four was resealed, and sends power to all four wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and a Spicer transfer case. Work in 2020 included a carburetor service, wiring repairs, coolant flush and some paint work. Approximately 2,350 four-wheel drive Willys Jeep Trucks were made in 1947 and this example is now offered with records, a reprinted owner’s manual, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s LLC….”

“A 72 year old rust free car that runs great and still holds a lot of its original picket gray paint. Wheels are still original paint woth their pinline under an aging respray. I’ve gradually been rubbing it off to get to the original paint.

Original motor, running strong. Rebuilt brakes and lines, rear end, new shocks, no rust, new exhaust, rebuilt front 4×4 axles, lights, signals and horn all work. Rebuilt carb, reupholstered seats in the original gray Very fun to drive, easy going beach cruiser. Lay the top down or flip the windshield up.

Peppy original 4cyl motor in original condition with one rebuild sometime in the 50’s, according to the metal plate installed on the motor at the time.

Tons of history, tons of originality, and a lot of work to get it running right while looking original.

New tires and innertubes are included as well. These ones hold air and drive but have cracking. I haven’t had time to go get them installed but they’re ready to put on. Same style as those in the photos, just brand new.”
