This 1948 Jeepster is powered by a later Willys F-head 161 6 cylinder engine. 1948 Jeepsters had the L-134 4 cylinder engine. Later 1949 -50-51 Jeepsters had the optional L-161 Lightning six cylinder engine. The F-Head Hurricane six was introduced in 1952, but is an excellent replacement engine for a Jeepster.
This Jeepster also has the optional factory fog lamps which are rare to find today, even though this has clear bulbs in it rather than the yellow lenses.
