About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
1948 Willy’s jeep. I got it from someone that started restoration in hopes of finishing it. New wire harness, new truck bed, body is perfectly solid some minor scratches from being in garage. I do not have the time or space and am getting things out of garage. Doesn’t have windows and interior needs to be done. Make offer
1973 Jeep J4000. Body is in rough shape, bed sides are rusted out, front fenders are not the worst. Fender badge shows it as a 360 V8 but it has been swapped to a 304. Original engine is still around but it got hot. Odometer shows 63276 miles. Interior is also rough. 4 wheel drive manual truck. Should be a good source for some hard to find parts. Contents not included. FCFS cash only
Fully restored, (Cab off restoration) finished in 2020. Body is in near perfect shape. Floor pans redone in cab. Custom wood stake flatbed. Side and rear gates can be removed.
Engine: new pistons, rods, bearings. Runs great, has some oil leaking – pan plug is the worst offender.
Frame: frame was sandblasted and painted. front springs and u-bolts are new. Rear springs are original.
Wheels/axles- front bearings are replaced with new, tires intertubed and are in great shape.
Electrical – new reproduction wiring harness. Headlights/ brights work, parking lights are not hooked up. Rear Blinkers/ brake lights work. Interior reading lamp and gauge lamps work
Dash: Speedometer/ fuel gauge work well. Rest of gauges are questionable or don’t work.
Runs and drives good. Does have the a wobble at higher speeds.
I tried to keep things to original as possible in the restoration.
1950 ? Willys Jeep Model 473 4×4 Pickup, no title, rolls, not running, needs tlc, parts truck or good restoration project, seems complete, have loader to help load
Willys 230_OHC Tornado Powertrain
$850 OBO Clinton MS
230 Up for grabs, early ’62 it says, would need some numbers off the unit to confirm. Some of these early ones are in need of some upticks. Recently I was able to compile all of the TSB that we gathered for the 230 into a nice document it was a really fun project getting those refreshed into a new format. It’s up on OWF you can search the tag 230_OHC and you will see most of my stuff over there related to the Tornado, so many knowledgeable folks over there have shared a ton of stuff with me very thankful.
I have too many of these around 12 or 13, so there is some value here, it does retain the original Air Cleaner, I had so many of those I was able to actually pay it forward and donate one to a really cool build. Then found homes for the rest, I have enough for my driving rigs.
But this actually retains the original bracket those I have never had an original but Tim out in CA was nice to hand make one for me from his and have that.
There are some very specific code words you will need to learn to get access to this one.
Jeep 230 Tornado engine with 3 speed transmission and rebuilt Dana 18 transfer case pulled from a 1962 Willys Wagon.
Running when removed. Has a rebuilt Holley 2-barrel carburetor. Compression is good on all cylinders except one (has been sitting 20+ years). Fair condition overall — good core for rebuild or project.

I’m getting lots of fake/bot messages on here lately. To show you’re a real local buyer:
1. Tell me specifically what you plan to use it for (jeep project, parts, rebuild, etc.).
2. Include the code phrase “Clinton Tornado guy” at the end of your message.
3. Mention when you could come pick it up (I’m usually free weekends).
I will ignore “Is it still available?”, short replies, or anyone who jumps straight to asking for my phone/email without answering the above.
Local cash buyers only in the Clinton area. No shipping, no trades, no out-of-state deals. Price is $600 firm but open to reasonable offers from serious folks.
More pics available upon real inquiry. Come check it out in person.
J-Truck 230_OHC Tornado, Thrift Side Bed, this is really neat. Says starts runs and moves, not a drive home deal, but its cool. Utility Bumper! Ready to get back to work.
5000 obo come look if your interested original tornado engine will start and drive with battery. Tires on it are shot . I have a set of new rims and tires can offer for additional money can make a deal . 3 on the tree transmission. It’s a project not driving home . Contact Curt to come look at it. Won’t answer to is this available. Lincoln Nebraska I’m curt
Best Offer, has some neat parts on this one. Hard to get to the price listed currently in parts and pieces, this is a full project.
Fan is neat, lots of interior parts shown, windshield trim, door eshelons, column shift. Something missing or later, like the Bed and Tailgate, bed steps, fuel tank relocated. Not shown is the engine.
Cool stuff on here, not the best price, so lots of work on that front but its worth exaclty what someone will pay for it. But has the correct seat frames, and a bunch of legit early stuff on here, it’s a full on project. Almost in Last Ride if not already there status.
1951 Willys truck. Currently has no engine/transmission/t-case.
Its got new tires, wheel bearings, wheel cylinders, shoes, hard and soft lines and master cylinder that needs bled. The front sheet metal is decent, hood is a bit cut up, cab is decent, floors are rusty.
Parts included: L6-226, the trans and t-case w/PTO for the truck, an extra trans and t-case, other misc parts, the original F4-134 for the truck in pic #10 – #11, spare 226 (pic #12 – #13), spare rear axle (#14), bad front axle for parts (#15).
I would prefer to sell everything together but I could split it up for the right price. Willing to take more pics and answer any questions.
