4WD conversion.
Very popular conversion back in the 1960’s, Dealers took in these DJ3A’s on a trade from restaurants and pizza joints that did home delivery, year after year, sat on the back lots for years, just no market for 2 Wheel Drive back then. So many owners of Rusted out 2A’s & 3A’s were able to do a reasonable body swap. A guy in my Clifton neighborhood did one of these swaps on his front lawn weekends.
Kalman Motors, Hackensack, NJ Authorized Jeep Dealer, had 5 of these trade in’s from Steve’s Pizza, all were that baby blue color, under the red re-paint in the above DJ pictured.
