A friend donated this Durkee-Atwood Windshield De-Icer / Defroster to eWillys. It looks like it was stored well, as everything looks in good shape. It comes in the original metal box. I don’t know anything about these and not sure what the value should be. If anyone’s interested, let me know (d @ deilers.com).

“I have a Willy’s jeep cab for sale with hard doors with Windows, this goes right on a factory jeep and all you have to do is put you existing window down put the top on and latch it with the factory latches. Pretty nice piece for the year.. p.m. me with any questions. I would only be willing to trade for a soft top for the same vehicle”

Scott spotted this unusual item. If I understand correctly, this has been made to provide a fuel source (out of charcoal) for a jeep engine. I’m not sure what makes this specifically unique for a jeep, as similar systems have been attached to cars. According to this document, a gasifier has been fueling a jeep since 1981 in Laos.

It’s a good price on an older soft top. Looks like it requires a 3A/M-38 windshield with the channel.
