This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. hmmm .. a ‘1947’ CJ-3B with a ford engine for $14,000. . . .
“1947 WILLYS JEEP All original metal cab, 3 speed transmission, NEW Engine- Totally Rebuilt 4 Cylinder Overhead Ford, This rebuild cost me $4,000. New Drive line, New Radial Tires. The body is straight!! No Dents Or Dings….. This jeep also has a tow bar so you are able to take it anywhere. There is not anything wrong with this jeep, it runs great and can get you just about anywhere. I am only selling it because i do not have any use for it.”

(09/29/2010) The price looks right and the engine looks good.
“I have a 1953 Willys CJ3B Jeep, it is in Good/Fair condition. I bought it in 2009 and drove it for a year than parked it in storage to work on it. The rest is history. I changed the oil, greased all joints, and changed the fluid in both diffs. It needs a full restoration if you wanna go that route.
134 c.i. OHV 4 cylinder, 3 spd. manual with twin stick transfer case
Dana 20 front axle, Dana 44 rear axle
This vehicle does not run but the engine is not seized up, I removed the rear drive shaft so it can be moved. It needs more than I can give it and I hate to let it go, but I’d rather see someone else driving it on the road, than have it sitting in front of my house.”

“This Willy Jeep is in good condition. It needs a new battery and ignition switch but otherwise it runs great and is mechanically sound. It has a V6 with a rebuilt transmission and transfer case. It comes with two tops; the bikini top in the pictures and a full cover with doors.”

The body appears in decent shape.
“Jeep body has some dents and a little rust. The frame is in great shape. This is a rolling body. i do not have a motor, transmission, or transfercase. However, i do have all the body parts including the hard top, except for hard doors. This would be a great project Jeep. I just do not have the time to work on it. Price listed is for entire Jeep. “great running Willys Jeep. I drive it nearly every day…everything mechanically is sound. This jeep does have a Navy Tag, and I believe that might make it slightly more limited, and more valuable. There is a separate wind shield that comes with the jeep and also have extra newer modern tires and rims. Also have front end tow attachment. The body is in OK shape, there is some paint flaking in spots. Its a fun vehicle and head turner, ready for year round driving”
