About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1961 CJ5 Willy’s Jeep. 4 wheel drive. Manual transmission. Plow. Has 1951 Willy’s motor with 35,000 miles on it. Ran when parked a few years ago, shouldn’t take much to get it running again. Clean NJ title. $2500 cash.”
“I purchased this a year ago with the hopes to fix it up but I realized that I dont have the time or space for it. That being said I did a little work to it. Replaced battery and battery cables. Replaced the carb and replaced the fuel filters. I also purchased a new gas can for it.
The body of the vehicle is in great shape. The body has been replaced with a fiber glass one. The inside is also in great shape no rips in the seats.
The frame is also in great shape. There is rust but NO ROT. A previous owner cut a notch in the frame for some reason but it doesn’t seem big enough to effect anything.
The jeep starts and runs but is very loud and blows a blue smoke. I have been told that it has a rod nock. I am asking $2500 OBO. Some research tells me to get the engine running reliably it will be about $2500. You could have a cool jeep for 5k. Only serious inquiries please. I can send more pictures if needed. “

“Selling a 1961 Willys cj5 jeep. This was a project and still needs some things finished. It was intended to build and keep. Plans have changed and this needs to go. Has been converted to a small block Chevy block numbers show it to be from the early 60’s chevy nova 283ci. Engine was removed and resealed with new torquer cam and aluminum intake. Has new summit 500cfm carb. Brand new small cap hei distributer. Has three speed manual transmission with twin stick transfer case. New battery, Fresh paint, bed lined inside tub. Complete brand new wiring harness from American auto wire. New fender flares, tires are near new condition. Passenger seat has small tare. New custom aluminum half doors. New fuel tank mounted under the rear of the jeep instead of under driver seat. New CD player and speakers. Needs front driveline welded up and installed along with seat belts. Brakes need bleed again. Has bikini top and tube rear bumper that’s not pictured. Also have a spare tire and wheel and handy man jack that can go with. I’m sure I’m missing other stuff. I drive it around the house and it drives ok. With a little more work it could be a great jeep. Clean Colorado title in my name. Great winter project.”
Listed as a 1961, the serial number suggests this is a September 1964. It has a Meyer hardtop.
“1961 willys jeep cj 5. Comes with hardtop, doors and plow. Will run off carb cleaner. Only piece missing is the radiator. Frame in great shape, rest of the body has usual rust areas. I bought it to build a cj 6 with but lost interest due to building my cj3a. Sold on Bill of sale.”
“63 willys jeep cj5 for sale or trade, 4 cylinder, 3 speed standard, new tires, new brake system, new charging system, has a rollbar, 4 seater, new rough coating paint job, electrical system new, new fuel pump, tow bar installed and trailer connection ready to be pulled to lease or beach, great shape over all”
Seller believes the Koenig hardtop top came off of a DJ, but that top wouldn’t have fit the wider windshield of the CJ-5.
“Been slowly fixing this cj5 up over the last year or so.
Recently replaced-
All fluids
Axle seals
Greased wheel bearings
Brake master cylinder
All brake slave cylinders
All brake shoes

And more I have forgotten about!
The original f134 motor runs well and I have driven the jeep around the block a few times. Still needs some work to be roadworthy but not much. Body is in good shape with very little rust.
Has a interesting Hardtop and doors that I suspect came off a dj5
Vehicle is fitted with a Ramsey pto winch and PTO.
Vehicle needs new rear leaf springs and the parking brake fixed before it will be roadworthy. Also the fuel tank really needs to be flushed and sealed.”
(07/21/2017) Craig shared this one. Seller wants $6000 for all the jeeps.
“I have 4 Willys Jeeps. ’49, ’60, ’65, & ’69. I have titles to all except the ’69. The ’49 alone is worth the price of entire lot. I want $6,000 for ALL. I will NOT separate at this time! I may sell the ’49 by itself but prefer to sell the whole lot. Please don’t text me asking me for a book of information back and forth. It’s much easier to CALL! I can also help with transport AFTER the deal has been made. I am willing to trade the entire lot up or down for a TJ or JK Jeep. May be interested in other trades but Jeep preferred. I thought I would have time for a few projects but that has changed so I’m selling them all. It would honestly be easier to come in person and check them all out. Missing parts here, extra parts there, etc. PLEASE no calls or texts after 11pm.”
“Here is a good Jeep project. Engine will run, not seized. Hate to see it sit here. Has everything it needs to be put back together to run except a battery. Mostly all original. Some newer parts include; fuel line, fuel pump, and ignition. Has M38A1 radiator and hood. Custom made tow hitch. The floors are completely shot in front but still has original floor in the rear. Even has original spare tire support baffle. in the rear fender well.
I made my own spare tire carrier. The dashboard is not cut up. Rare aluminum Sears Deluxe Arctic Hardtop with original glass. No glass for the doors. The top is full of dents, but still serves its purpose. Comes with standard low back seats. Previous owner put Toyota lap seat belts in it. I also will include original Willys front fenders and new aftermarket fenders. And old ford rims and tires if you want period correct look, just have to put inner tube in one tire. Also can include a kaiser era tailgate. Selling as whole, cash only, no trades. $2500 obo willing to negotiate on price”
