About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
1961 Jeep Willys CJ5 4×4. Frame off restoration. This is an original 1961 metal tub, not fiberglass. Presents very well and a lot of fun. Gets lots of attention. Comes with extra original parts. Extra hood, grill and an original PTO (hard to find). I have a green Michigan title in my name. Needs a couple of minor tweaks to be perfect. $12,900 or best offer. May consider trade for cars and trucks only. No boats, motorcycles or campers.

Here is a CJ5 for not so many Willys Bucks, looks nice. Hard Top with Roof Rack is cool. I would ditch the 327, but good news is that its probably not a huge power plant, a nice V6 would freshen this up along with some floor pans, but really at this price its a if it runs, drives, stops, get in a enjoy the rest of the Summer and into the Fall.
Information from seller:
1955 Willys CJ5. 327 Chevrolet v8. Great shape. New glass. Needs shocks, exhaust and tires. $5,000/Or Best
Hard Top, looks like a neat project, not a high asking price.
Information from seller:
Clean title on hand, superficial rust needs the transmission to be put back on it has 60096 miles, great patina, it’s 4×4 ,I got it for my retirement project I guess I’m not retiring yet. If you see this message still available. Scammer will be block so is low ballers. Have a blessed day.
Ran when parked? Has plow, hard top, typical NE rig here. OBO
Speedo face is amazing, the bezel and case are not good, but I have all the other parts to make that an amazing speedo if the insides are not horrible.
It does have a neat radio. It’s crusty.
Looks like a Service Station rig with the plow and push bumper, pushing cars to and from Death Row.
Information from seller:
Willy’s CJ-5 1962 sitting outside for many years. Best offer
This would be in my truck on the way home from work if I was near by. Unless you see it run assume the worse case it does not , it’s 300 Willys Bucks not going break the budget either way.
I have all these engines and I call then cores, been all over NY, NJ, PA for them and never once did I try to turn one over or start anything, I think that’s a bad idea for this old iron.
Others want to see if it spins, some sellers want to show you that it runs, one time that actually took me over 18 months from the time I made contact till the time I bought the engine. They wanted to show me it ran, and I said sure I will come down and help get it running, my schedule and the sellers schedule never aligned but we talked say every 6 months kept in touch. Eventually bought it and yeah unfortunately never saw it run. It’s on the short list when I get fully in to the new building to at least get it running. Its a pump motor set up with an F134 on a run stand of sorts.
Very neat CJ, the one issue I would have with this as a Plow Jeep is how do you keep the 12” of snow out of the Jeep with no Top its going to be rough going as a plow rig. But with some modifications and some repairs this would be neat to use as a plow rig. Eventually I would like to have a Willys to plow with at the house.
Information from seller:
1956 Jeep Willy’s, runs and idles great. Trans is free and so is transfer case but the clutch is stuck. Plow works. Engine and frame in great shape. Don’t need to sell but figured there might be a guy out there who would enjoy it more then me. Low ballers will be ignored. NO title, don’t text unless you have cash and a trailer
I will put this at 1967, 1968 era CJ5, I was not aware of the issue on finding the year for these. I figured click and clack a few keys to the normal places and get the year narrowed down, not so much. But as always learned a little bit along the way. Enjoy this possible one of the “Lost Year’s” Kaiser CJ5’s. Not many Willys Bucks for this one. Will say with a giant hole in the floor and losted as no body Rot, I guess the floor is technically not the Body to some, but I think it’s a very typical NE Rig here. Looks complete and like the other Blue CJ5 just posted in NJ.
This also has a Hard Top, V6 nice little project, lights are on the Plow. This is a cool Jeep.
Information from seller:
Snow plow jeep 4 wheel drive NO TITLE Good for parts or LOTS of TLC Engin I do believe is frozen Body has no rot on it See pictures
Looks like it ran a few years back, has rear PTO, gang mower not listed but gives you an idea of the fun times ahead for the right person. Brakes can be over rated at times.
Information from seller:
1956 Willys CJ-5 “High-Hood” Project – Bill of Sale Only – $1,000 OBO NOT running and brakes don’t work – stored outdoors about five years. Last time it ran was 2022. Has PTO that powered brush hog in the past. Bring a trailer; does not drive. No paperwork came with the property – selling AS-IS, with Bill of Sale. Venmo or cash
This was listed 22 Weeks Ago, but you never know, it’s still up. Says V6 locked up but some neat recovery hooks up front, hub caps are awesome, classic roll bar, I prefer the vintage lights tail lights this has out back. Rear Tire Carrier, double Jerry Can’s, this is ready for the long ride in to the remote trails! Definitely grab that block and bell housing set up and any other smalls laying around the area of the rig.
Information from seller:
My 1968 jeep project up forsale Does not run or drive No transmission, transfer case or driveshafts There is a locked up V6 engine and various parts in the box in back. Minor to little rust definitely a buildable jeep. Asking $2000 obo I have a Arizona title from 1978 for it
Lots to read…… honest review of the state of the Jeep. I broke it up a bit so you can see the bullet points from the seller.
Information from seller:
1962 Willys CJ5 Jeep. Manufactured in Toledo Ohio at Willy’s motors.
Original except for a few motor parts that were difficult to find. (I have the old ones).
Runs, drives, and stops.
Comes with a metal top and doors. I don’t have them installed.
Needs very little to be street legal. ( brake lights not working and right turn signal inoperative) .
Needs a wiper arm and blade for drivers side and blade for passenger side. Passenger side is a manual operated wiper.
The fuel gauge and temp gauge do not work.
The speedometer may work if you hook up the cable, I don’t know. I only used it around my property or only drove it to Tallapoosa occasionally.
All original parts and supplies are available from KaiserWillys.com. The company specializes in antique Jeep parts and restoration efforts.
This Jeep doesn’t go very fast on the highway and did not come with seatbelts.
The exhaust is a little loud due to a blown gasket at the manifold outlet. A new exhaust from there back would make it very quiet again.
There is some rust under the body around the rear and under he fenders.
New body components are available from the company I mentioned.
They are very pleasant to deal with and are located in South Carolina.
This is not a really safe vehicle for young people because you sit above the fuel tank and there are no seatbelts.
Please serious inquiries only. We can test drive it down the dirt road if you are a serious buyer. If you have a 2” ball on your vehicle you can tow it home.
There are 2 Willys the M38A1 is pending already, but maybe the CJ5 is still there?
CJ5 has a front winch and Im not really good at years, if it’s a CJ5 I would best guess an earlier one ‘54, ’55 just a guess maybe you guys can dial these in for me. The cut out and battery box are on a lot of CJ5 just not functional, but has the Jeep on the side and some other things that Im going CJ5, just not the best with the exact year. I will post the M38A1 photos for record on what it was posted as.
Information from seller:
I have 2 Willy’s I got at an estate sell. One is quite a bit nicer, was asking $1500 for that one and $1000 for the other. I know nothing about them. No keys either
