About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I accidentally wandered across these unusual photos from the Timberlane’s thoughts blog. I’ve never seen a Civil Defense FC. Maybe someone out there knows more about it? I *think* this is in California, based on the front license plate. I have lightened all four shots. You can see the originals in the original post at the website.
(04/18/2010) “FC-170 IS THE MODEL NUMBER FOR THESE JEEP PICK-UPS. I HAVE TWO OF THEM AND THEY ARE BOTH IN USABLE SHAPE. LAST TIME THEY WERE DROVE IS IN 1987. THEY REALLY ARE A RARE FIOMD AND THEY ARE IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION AS WELL. GIVE ME A CALL”
This is rare alirght, buy I think it is the paint job that makes it so rare; don’t seem many rainbow FCs!
“This is a rare find. A Jeep FC 150 from the 50’s. I believe it’s a 56 but similar measurements with the 57 cause confusion. As you can see by the photos, it’s in need of a total restoration. For the age, the body is in pretty good shape. The drivers side has a dent. The windshield is cracked. The engine is there but as I said, it needs a mechanic. The bed is in tact. I saw one small hole but other then that, it looks good. The color on the body appears to be original, multi-colored. I have seen other trucks like this one restored and they look really cool and different. There arn’t many of these around so who ever drives it around will get a lot of attention and questions!! If you are seriously interested, contact me with any questions and I’ll get right back to you. If your in need of more pics, I can do that too.”
“1964 Kaiser Jeep FC170 restored and in excelent condition. All work done since January, 2009. New paint inside, outside, and under, including the bed and frame. Reconditioned Super Hurricane, flat head, 6 cylinder, L226 engine with new everything, including radiator, clutch, and wiring harness. 12 volt. Rebuilt T90, 3 speed, trans. with warn overdrive and Ramsey dual output PTO. Reconditioned Dana 53 and Dana 44 with locking hubs, 4.10 gears and spicer 18. Brakes are all new everything, including drums. Steering is new or rebuilt and tight. Tires are new Commercial Traction TA’s. New 1 ton rear Leaf Springs. Electric/hydrolic 6×10 steel flatbed dump with custom fold down sides works perfect. New seat upholstry and rubber matting in cab. Everything works as it should. Runs and drives perfect. Will do 70 mph. in overdrive and crawl less than 1 mph. in low. I’ve carried 3500 lbs. and dumped it fine. These pics were taken prior to completion.”

“1961 Jeep FC-170 4×4 Army Green; Engine should be free. Was running 5 years ago. Transmission in great shape. Open frame bed. Undercarriage attachment for a snowplow. Auxiliary PTO transfercase. Tires hold air.
Could have been a military vehicle. Glass in great shape, intact, no cracks!”
“The Willys has a Ford 302, Auto, Dana 20, stock diffs (25 front and rear posi) runs great, but it’s never been off road. I have a good windshield, but for extra $$. It needs body work on two spots; next to drivers door and passenger side battery well (rust), metal flat bed with storage boxes. I also have a 9′ bed that goes with sale”
(11/24/2011) There are a couple other Willys in the background of the photos.
“Offered is a very rare Willys FC150 Foward Control Pickup. Needs restoration. Very staight and solid. Rear glass is missing. Motor apart. This will make a great project to restore or street rod.”
“Excellant candidate for restoration, this green mechanically complete 1959 FC jeep truck has been parked a long time. Has a 1965 retro fitted Buick V-6 engine , all glass in good shape, includes original owners manual. Can deliver up to 50 miles for this price. Charles Williams 706-656-1279 any time.”
