About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Has the M-38 indents, MB glove box, and some CJ features.
“CJ2A reproduction tub, complete floor plates, minor surface rust in one fender well never mounted has been in storage for several years, these are $2500 and up online”
“Jeep Willy’s Tailgate and Flare Side Bed 81.5″ X 48″ Purchased for my 1972 J2000 but found a Gladiator bed. Tailgate is in good condition with one larger dent on drivers side bottom. Bed will require metal work, rails and corners are showing rust through(see pictures). Tailgate original chains are intact and gate opens and closes.”
Seller has what appears to be a Jeep-a-trench PTO and gear. They are also selling a lift of some type.
“THIS IS A VERY RARE OPTION ON A 1954 WILLYS JEEP WE ARE RESTORING. IT IS A WAY TO GET THE FORWARD SPEED OF THE JEEP DOWN TO ABOUT 1 MILE PER HOUR.
STUDY THE PHOTO’S AND SEE THE FINE CONDITION THE PTO IS IN. THE BIG GEAR IS A REPLACEMENT EMERGENCY BRAKE DRUM SET UP SO IT CAN BE TURNED BY THE GEAR COMING OUT FROM THE PTO. THE BIG GEAR HAS A SMALL CRACK NEAR THE CENTER BUT IS NOT SERIOUS. IT IS VERY UNIQUE AND I THOUGHT I HAD SEEN EVERYTHING AVAILABLE FOR EARLY WILLYS JEEPS FROM THE 40’S.
THANKS FOR LOOKING AND YOU CAN WIN IT JUST TO HAVE ON YOUR SHOP WALL FOR SHOW AND TELL TO ALL YOUR WILLYS JEEP BUDDIES OR USE IT TO WIN THE SLOWEST VEHICLE AT YOUR HISTORICAL SOCIETY FESTIVAL RACE.
I JUST ADDED ANOTHER VIEW OF THE PTO DRIVER LISTED AND A FUTURE LISTING WE WILL DO FOR A WILLYS 3 POINT HITCH HYDRAULIC REAR L;IFT FOR EARLY JEEPS. VERY NICE.”
“This counterweight was designed to fit on the front of a CJ3 Willys Jeep. It came off a 1950 vehicle. A trencher was mounted on the back and this counterweight was as a counterbalance. It weighs over 200 pounds.”
Glenn forwarded this link. The support bracket needs a repair.
“or sale is (1) Ramsey winch PTO with support bracket. PTO is in great working order but the support bracket has a crack in it. This was on a Willys jeep CJ2-A driven off of the transfer case. All I have for sale is what you see in the pictures. Asking $200. I’m located in Salida but can ship this or deliver to the front range. Thanks for looking!”
“I have used Monarch Governor that was on a Willys 134 L-head engine. The govenor works with all the Willys vehicles that had the 134 L-head engine. The govenor works like a cruise control, the engine speed is maintained at a preset value regardless of the load applied. They were commonly utilized while running PTO driven equipment.
The last picture is what they look like installed. I do not have the contol cable and rods other than what you see on my governor.”
“This is a complete PTO winch setup that will fit on the back of a T90/T90A transfercase. These are commonly used for Willys Jeeps: MB, GPW, CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B, CJ5, CJ6, and CJ7. Both data tags are present and in good condition.
PTI-J dual output PTO
MX200R 8000lb winch
The PTO system is free, the output lever is free as well as the winch control itself. All the spinning parts spin and the winch clutch moves in and out easily.
Feel free to call or text me with the information up top any time. If I don’t answer I’ll call back shortly after, and reachable by text all day.”
“This is a Koenig King mechanical PTO winch. It runs off the engine crank shaft rather than from a gear box. I have never used it but the drum rolls easily.
This is some information I found at http://www.ewillys.com/2014/02/04/rare-koenig-winch-on-ebay/ :
Koenig Model R100J Forward/Reverse PTO Winch. It mounts directly to a CJ2A, CJ3A or CJ3B, with the integral mounting bracket. PTO is off of the crankshaft pulley.
I do not have any of the mounting or drive equipment, just the winch itself.
$300 obo
Local pickup only. It is too heavy for me to move.
No trades.”
This looks a lot like the Beck/Kemco top, but the top of the back is angled rather than flat (see bottom pic). I couldn’t find a comparable top to identify it. It’s a good price.
“Get your CJ2A ready for some cool weather driving! For sale is a Arctic top for a CJ2A. Includes two full doors with working windows and a back window that lifts and locks. Priced way below what you normal find them for – only $100.”
Looks like a good price. Is the back piece something that could have been ordered? I’ve never seen that.
“This is a half cab or pick up conversion cab for a 1946 Willys CJ2A
It came with my Willys when I bought it and I have no use for it. I have no idea if it’s a Willys or aftermarket part, but it looks original to me. Condition is okay. Some small dents and scratches. Almost no rust on most of it except the doors. They are rusty on the bottom. The divider that goes to the floor is dented up from removal. The goofy box sides appear to be homemade and they were weldedvon so I had to cut them off, but they are not welded to the cab.”
