This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is an all-steel vintage Koenig hard top and doors for an early CJ5. I bought this hard top set a couple of years ago (?) with the grandest and noblest of intentions of restoring and modifying it to fit my 1974 CJ5. Spoiler Alert: I haven’t touched it and I’m not going to. I don’t know what year exactly, but the doors won’t fit my ’74 without modifying the hinges, as they won’t align. (See last photo) Most of the glass is there, but it needs a full restoration. These are getting harder and harder to find that haven’t completely rotted away or lost all of it’s glass.”

“134 cu in L head (flathead) out of a 1948 CJ2A. The motor is disassembled and has been checked out by a machine shop. The bore is currently .060 over, crank mains are .030 and the rod journals are .010. The block and head have been dipped and painted. I took two motors to the machine shop and had them pick the best parts to rebuild one motor. The leftovers are all usable. Motor still has to be rebuilt. Motor block with head, crank, cam and piston rods, oil pan, flywheel, manifolds, water pump, fan, and what you see in the picture.May trade, need a Weber carburetor.”

“I have a parts lot of M38a1 parts which also fit the M170 ambulance. The floor panels are new but a little dirty from sitting. What you see spread out in front of the camera is included. No, not the M416 tub or frame or new tires etc. Just the M38a1 parts. Lots of parts, some new, most old. dash boards, sheet metal parts, distributor, plugs etc. All one lot all one price. Not separating into individual parts. I can ship if you want to do all the arranging (Fastenal) and pay me up front, first. Not shipping other than that, so don’t ask.”

“I have a complete 1946/1947 cj2a jeep not running for parts or restore….. the drive train is good working and movable..(engine has stuck valve in guide).. …..good title……. Have a 1951 m38 jeep military with arctic aluminum military ordinance cab…….. I have some other parts for these jeeps….front and rear cj2a axles with springs…..extra complete rolling chassis(with good title….bought with no tub) with new springs front and rear axle…. bearings… brakes… bushings…. W/engine/trans/transfer case assembly’s project cj2a ….. been sand blasted and military olive drab paint…… no pics though…have buick 225 dauntless oddfire jeep engine and trans with transfer case…also carbureted 231 buick engine with low miles”
The body with fenders and hood appears to be $375. There are other parts available also. You can get everything for $650.
