About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It’s unclear what 10% still needs restoring. I’m not sure what’s causing the backward sloping.

“I have a super rare Willys pickup tailgate stamped with the W over the O that became the most recognized Willys Overland symbol. It is in very good condition. While the pickup remained the same from the 40’s to the 60’s, this tailgate was only made from 49-52……..and I challenge you to find one available for sale. replies MUST have WILLYS in the subject or I will delete as spam. Will consider all sorts of possible trade material….motorcycles, tools, firearms….what do you have?”
As usual, the folks at the Israeli Bureau of eWillys have spotted another unusual vehicle. I *think* this is a combination of a CJ-3A body, willys truck/wagon fenders/windshield, a cj-3a hood and grille, and some creativity. But I could be wrong….
“Selling Willys jeep. Doesn’t run. Has a straight flat six cylinder motor. Comes with 4×4 rear PTO wench and welder generator. Frame is in good condition.”
(10/12/09) I think I saw this in the Road Warrior Movie, lol. And yeah, it has no brakes, but, seriously, would you really be worried about hitting a tree in this?
“1954 JEEP WILLY’S, RUNS NICE, 4X4, M/T, NO BRAKES!!! HAS RUST AND A BUNCH OF HOME MADE WELDS ALL OVER BODY NEED ALOT OF WORK MAKE OFFER!!!”
UPDATE: Well, Steve couldn’t stand the thought of someone not restoring this truck, so he bought it and has offered to provide updates to ewillys readers as he restores it. Best of luck Steve!
A reader named Steve examined this Truck today. It’s got a Dump O Matic Hydraulic Dump Bed. Steve felt this was more work than he was looking for, but thought it would be great ‘for the right Willys Addict’. Thanks Steve!
Steve reports, “This was the first year for the pickup with only 2,346 4WD models built. The bed has a fair amount of body rot, but could be repaired or replaced. The cab is original and mostly complete. It’s not dented or molested. The engine is seized (but included to keep matching numbers) and the seat bottom and headliner are missing. A replacement engine is included that came from a military generator that was religiously maintained and ran on propane. The tires are dry rotted, but the frame looks good.”
Here’s the Craigslist AD:
“1947 Jeep pick-up. 4 wheel drive. Dump O Matic pick up bed. Truck is in fair condition for an unrestored truck of this age. This is a restoration project. There is rust but cab and floor are in good condition.Truck has 42000 miles. Last time on road was 1987. For more information call David at 401-465-9490”
The body looks good from the pics. This is a project.
“This truck is is part way through a body off restoration. Their is no rust and only minor body work left to do. The body it primed inside and out with undercoat on the bottom. It comes with a rare Kaiser Fraser flat top L-6 motor. Photos are old and some more work has been done. Will consider a trade for 400cc + sport ATV.”
No pics, but this is a strong running truck (according to the owner).
“1958 willys truck with title, 6 cylinder engine 3 speed transmission, engine was rebuilt some time ago, 4×4 works good use it this year at Mt. Taylor last year for me hunting getting to old , pretty much all original body need a little work, dark green paint is ok, brakes work good , just had the heater core replaced so it does have a good heater for the winter, bought tires brand new a year ago, will drive at 55mph all day long even the light work I change it over to 12 volt system, the old 6 volt was just to weak, need to sell, $900.00 or best offer. sorry no pictures at this time email for an appointment .”
Or, from our Israeli Bureau, spotted another Tender Truck for sale. I used Babelfish to translate the Hebrew, but it was only barely understandable. So, we can just check out the pics. Thanks Or!
