About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This appears to be a wagon with the back chopped and a canopy added to it. Thanks to John for spotting this oddity. Listed as a ’46, given the grill and speedometer, I’d guess this is a late ’56.
“PARTIALLY RESTORED JEEP PICK UP TRUCK. NO WINDSHIELD OR SEATS YET. SEATS ARE AVAILABLE.
THE MOTOR IS A BUICK MAYBE 8 CYLINDER. I WILL ASK MY HUSBAND TO BE SURE. IT IS JUST TAKING THE PERSON THAT STARTED THIS PROJECT TOO LONG TO FINISH IT. HE STARTED IN MARCH AND I HAVE PAID FOR PARTS AND PAINT, ETC.”
Mike share this truck. It seems like there’s value here.
“1949 Willys column shift Pickup with rear tank and snow plow. Timkin rear. It is located in Central Valley NY. Has good floors and sheet metal. It has an F head engine swapped in. My friend’s father died and he had it running last year. Gas tank is on the seat inside. No brakes and no tail lights. It is a 4WD vehicle. There is no registration that we can find but the serial number tag is there and he will provide a bill of sale. The tank on back goes with the Willys as does the snow plow blade. He is including a 9 hp Briggs and Stratton Industrial generator in this price. Cash only at pickup.”
“1952 Willy’s pickup truck.
Rebuilt V8 AMC 304 with less than 100 miles.
100% garage kept since restoration completed in 2013.
Most of the interior is done except for the head liner.
It starts and runs a great. No leaks of any kind.”
No pics and no description. The sale is part of a sale of other vehicles posted to Barnfinds. Maybe something or maybe nothing. Model unclear. Thanks to Bill for sharing it.
“Rare find…Complete nut and bolt restoration in 04. Looks new top to bottom. Original. All documentation, Motor will not turn over from sitting. Title in hand. Possible trade.”
“1949 Willys Stake Truck, surface rust, great patina, brand new tires. Comes with cherry picker and 1969 chevy 350 ( came out of cj7, needs install), has tranny and transfer case. Great project!!!”
Mike shared this unusual camper. The shape of it reminds me of the late 1940s Book mobiles (or see below post). The box on this truck appears a little taller than the book mobile boxes, so this truck and the book mobiles may be unrelated.
The truck is listed as a 1954, but the grille suggests it is earlier. It’s unclear whether the camper on back is original to the truck (special order for example) or whether someone added the camper later. That said, the interior faux wood and carpet screams 60s or 70s to me. The “Jeep” radio would have also been added at a later date. Note the Warn hubs are IH branded hubs.
