This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I’ve got an East Coast buyer looking for a mechanically sound M-38 or early M-38a1 that looks good. The body doesn’t have to be museum quality (there can be some minor dents for example), but it should look like a military vehicle. The price range is $8000 – $11000. If you know of any sellers, send them my way.

This truck owner says he has the 401st 4wd truck ever made.
“Is there someone around who used to work at the Willys Overland plant in Toledo that could answer some questions? I have a ’47 Willys Overland pickup truck that I want to restore to its original condition and want to do it correctly. It was the 401st 4wd pickup built. I’m trying to find information on available paint colors, proper air cleaner, upholstery choices, etc. It’s easy to modify an old vehicle, and I’ll do that with something else. I want to see this one done right. I’m sure there are some proud retirees in the area that remember building these unique historical vehicles. Thanks. Steve”

I’m not entirely sure what the buyer wants, but you maybe you have it?
“I am looking for a 49-62 Willys pickup with a large back window cab. I only need the sheet metal so a straight clean complete body with or without a drive train is all I am after. I will be putting the body on another frame/chassis. I would be interested in maybe buying one or several if the price is right and I can end up making one good body out of the pieces and parts. I am not looking for a mechanically restored or even mechanically functional rig–just one that can be brought back to look good without a major ordeal. Here’s a buyer for a CJ-2A windshield frame. The buyer also has some stuff for sale or trade.
“WANTED: Windshield frame for a 1948 Willys cj 2a flat fender jeep. Just need one that is semi straight for a trail rig. may have some parts in trade. All from 72′ cj 5, 3spd tranny, Dana 20 transfercase, and drive lines. All are sitting in a shop a little greasy but staying dry. Also have 98 blaster parts. both front A-arms with shocks and hubs, fullset of white plastic and seat, fuel tank, stock swing arm with rear axle (bearing froze). Motor that has been rebuilt but ben sitting for a year or so (would suggest to go through it again. Will also sell these items cheap, tired of tripping on stuff. Thanks for reading.
