About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1650. Similar to San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours wagons.
(04/13/2011) I really do want to make a wagon convertible at some point. Of course, I think I have about 1000 other things I want to do as well.
“This wagon runs very well but needs a master cylinder to make brakes work. would make good beach cruiser or off road or what ever you desier 1650 obo trades welcome!”
UPDATE: Ori found a variety of similar modded wagons in Brazil. You can check them out here (and then scroll to the bottom).
Check out this Wagon. The body has been shortened. I think this looks pretty cool.

UPDATE: Rudolf sent some additional pics of this rig. Steve gives a good analysis within the comments section.
Rudolf forwarded me this unusual CJ-?A/MB wagon. Rudolf reports that this is titled a 1944 and was used for public transit in Bali. Given the full floating rear end, the rearend might have been from a MB. It reminded me of another vehicle with a similar wood rear end that is located in France (see the red image below).
Both have good 345’s. One has a 3-speed, the other has an automatic. Both have dana 44’s. Both are projects but were on the road several years ago. Both have removable hard tops and clear titles. Asking $1000 each or will sell together for $1800.
1949 and 1959 Willys overlander wagons
The 1949 has a good 292 v8 with a t-98 four speed transmission with a granny low gear. It comes with a dana 18 transfer case. Has a dana 25 axle up front with a dana 44 in the rear. Most of the hard work has been done, but there are things that need finishing. It has a lot of parts included, such as a power steering assembly, power brake set up, after market wheels, and much more. It has an extremely soild body with hardly any rust. Most of the orginal paint has been stripped down to start the body work. Asking $1400
The 1959 comes with a lot of new replacement parts from willys of America. It has no engine. But does have a t90 transmission, dana 18 transfer case, dana 25 axle up front, and a dana 44 in the rear. It is taken completely apart, but all of the body parts are included with the sale. Asking $700
I have way to many projects and need the room, that’s why they are all for sale. Will sell both wagons together for $1800. Will sell everything together as a package, 2 scouts and 2 willys wagons, for $3200.
These would be great rock crawler, off road, or mud trucks. Everything you will need is there. My plans were to use the scout running gear in the Willys wagons, but I have to many other projects going on. All prices are negotiable.”
Roadmonster.org wrote about designer Tavis Highlander and his wagon last year. According to the post, his illustrations have been featured in Hot Rod and Car Craft Magazines. In addition, he illustrated and then built the below wagon, which has been featured in Hot Rod Magazine, Truckin’ Magazine, and Radical Renderings.
The seller just needs to get rid of it. It might make a very cheap parts wagon.
“I selling 53 willys wagon that has a lot of parts taken off of. I am done messing with it so I want to just sell it with what it has left. It has a ford 8 inch rear end. no motor, trans, hood or title. I just need it gone soon. I will haul it to scrap unless someone wants to come take it off my hands.”
UPDATE: Dan now owns this Traveller. I didn’t know what a Traveller was when I first posted this in 2011.
(03/26/2011) “I have a 64′ willys wagon in excellent ORIGINAL condition. 230 tornado Straght six with a 3 speed tranny and 4×4. Excellent interior, motor runs great, 4×4 works great, almost new tires. Very nice willys. $5500 obo.”
There might be some value here. The seller wants to get rid of this.
“Hi , I’ve got a 1952 Jeep Willys that has been sitting in my garage for quite a while now. It’s not in great shape , but for the most part still pretty solid. Has some rust , has a hole in front drivers floor board. It’s a 6 volt system , but if I remember correctly , my father in law told me it was converted to 12 volt. All the glass is original , as well as the body and interior parts. It’s interior has been mostly gutted. The motor is original to my knowledge and was overhauled not long before it was put in storage. It’s full time 4 wheel drive , but the front axle was taken out by my father in law , I believe to help with fuel mieage , when he was driving it. I have been wanting to fix it up , but with bills and kids , it’s not going to happen for a while longer. ”
“The body is in great shape but obviously has been sanded down. A rear window has been cracked. It’s perfect for restoring!! Everything runs good but has some electrical problems. I’m open to offers on this one…”
“Here’s a running Willys woody for sale! 4wd. three shifters on floor! garage kept…new muffler system…new brake master cylinder. Original flathead 6 cylinder. Runs fine, but kinda slow for todays’ highways. inspected and antique lincense plated. Still needs some more tlc, but a pretty original example of yesteryear. My wife wanted horses instead.”
