About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Started restoration but did not complete project. Jeep and extra engine and transmission plus two extra doors–everything goes. Seats have been reupholstered. Outside body is painted. All original parts.”

(07/16/2010) Here’s a nice wagon, though it’s not exactly museum quality.
“One of the very few remaining unmolested Jeep carryalls in the world!! It is just one of 485 ever built in 1960. This vehicle was sold new near Springfield, Illinois in late 1959. It got repossesed shortly thereafter and remained in storage for years. An auto Museum in Springfield purchased the Jeep in the late 1990s and kept it until the museum closed a few months ago. The vehicle is amazingly solid with an all original interior. It has been painted in it’s original color. We see very little to no evidence of major rust issues. It runs and drives and is a blast. Comes with it’s original 1959 Illinois license plates!!”
(08/03/2010) This would make a fun restore if the old panel art work could be saved. Maritime Hardware.
“I PURCHASED TWO 1956 WILLYS PANEL DELIVERY TRUCKS FROM A PRIVATE OWNER IN NEW JERSEY, BOTH VEHICLES CAME OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE ONE AFTER THE OTHER ONLY 786 WERE MADE. I AM DOING A FRAME UP TOTAL RESTORATION ON ONE, AND I AM SELLING THE OTHER ONE, THESE VEHICLES ARE EXTREMELY RARE IN THIS CONDITION, YES THERE IS SOME LOWER BODY RUST, BUT THE MAIN BODY, THE FRAME, ORIGINAL MOTOR (SUPER HURRICAINE 6 CYLINDER) DRIVE TRANE, AND TRANSMISSION ARE COMPLEATLY INTACT. ALL INTERIOR GUAGES ARE ORIGINAL AND ARE IN GREAT SHAPE, THERE IS ONE DOUBLE SEAT (DRIVERS SIDE) THE RUST IS CONTAINED ONLY TO THE WHEEL WELLS, AND MOSTLY THE LOWER PARTS OF THE TRUCK, BUT THE PARTS TO FIX ARE EASILY AVAILABLE AS I HAVE REPLACED THEM ON THE OTHER VEHICLE ALREADY, THE FRAME IS PERFECT, NO RUST. YOU CAN SEE MY VEHICLE DURING ITS CURRENT RESTORATION BECAUSE BOTH VEHICLES ARE AT THE SAME GARAGE. CLEAR TITLE AND VIN GO ALONG WITH IT”
The seller believes this to be a rare Maverick Wagon. I couldn’t say for sure, maybe someone else can?
