About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This needs some work done. It’s a good looking rig. Those rear tires sure look close to the body.
“1953 Jeep Willys wagon. This is a PROJECT CAR – Great project, very solid body. Engine: 1996 Jeep 318 (not hooked up). Transmission: 4 speed automatic. Full time 4 wheel drive. Interior not finished – seats from 1996 Jeep Cherokee. 33″ Mickey Thompson tires. All parts to put it together. Needs to be finished (I hurt my shoulder and can’t work on it).”
There is a little body work, but might not be too bad.
“1962 Willys Jeep Utility Wagon 4×4. “Super Hurricane” 226 c.i. L-Head engine that runs good. Body is very solid, needs only a little work on lower driver side rear quarter and bottom of tailgate. Floors will need some work as well. Doors, fenders, hood, and quarters all solid. Have 3 extra doors. Runs & drives and would make a great project! Clear title! Asking $1650 obo. “1959 Willys just turned 100 thousand miles. 4-Wheel without overdrive. Third owner. Purchased new in Denver then lived in Moscow for twenty something years before being sold to second owner some eight miles away. First owner changed the generator over to an alternator. Other than that no foolish “improvements.” Second owner had it also for twenty or so years and I have had it since. None of us have abused this marvelous machine in any way. Original engine and drivetrain and just about everything else but the battery and tires. Second owner rebuilt the engine about thirty thousand miles ago. No oil use. Performs as new. Cruises at sixty without any unstability or wander or excess rpm demand. NOT restored to show car condition but finished quite nicely for use with no ugly surprises. I installed a new gas gauge sender a year or so ago and it works just fine until yesterday when I put some gas in and the gauge dropped to zero. I care not to take the time now to troubleshoot it. This Willys is about as close in appearance and original working condition to when it was new as one is likely to find outside of a museum. No, the paint is not original but done about two years ago by a show car body shop. The body is not flawless as I elected to preserve the car with its history of only the fewest of dings yet if it were flawless it would most surely not be driven for fear of scratching it. This is a user and cruiser. Solid throughout. I am pleased to answer any questions or send additional photos though do not waste my time if you are not seriously prepared to buy and I will not waste yours. Located in downtown Palouse adjacent to St. Elmos Hotel on Main Street directly across from the tavern. Available for viewing just about any time or day though please do not just stop by to do anything other than hands-off looking without an appointment. Please email with any questions or to set a viewing appointment as I am not usually near a phone.”
“One of a kind Willys wagon, would make a great restoration project, has a winch and extra parts, also front bumper. no motor, needs total restoration. Have title in hand and two different catalogues for ordering Willys parts. Serious buyers only please, call any time:”
I think DUSTY describes this accurately. It looks pretty solid underneath the rust.
“1951 Williy’s Overland 4×4 station wagon with 289 and 3 speed transmission. This vehicle has been barn stored for the last 10 years and his minimal rust and damage. The engine is complete and was running when it was put into storage. This is a great project vehicle with almost all original parts and equipment. 2,500 OBO.”
Dan spotted this. I can’t say if the seller is accurate about the rarity or not.
“Up for sale is a very rare Jeep Gladiator. The vehicle was made in 1969 and then was issued a vin number in 1970 before kaiser sold to AMC. This vehicle has a very rare 350 V8 Buick motor with an automatic, they only made the vehicle with an automatic for one year with these motor options. This has a true four wheel drive running gear, with dana 60 lockers, that have been gone thru and serviced. Currenlty the vehicle needs the rear glas put in the door panels put on and the bed to be bolted back on, it used to have a flat bed on it.as well as the gas tank to be put back in. It is still on the trailer and can be delivered if need be. Like I said this vehicle does run that is how i got it on the trailer, I have the title in hand with new plates as well. You can call me at 509 768 8255 thanx Josh”
Dave spotted this wagon. It looks like a pretty good updated build. My question is, why not move the wagon so you don’t have a chain link fence covering half the pic?

“50 something, 4 x 4 – No engine/transmission. Pretty decent shape. No papers and, unfortunately, somebody stole the VIN plate. But, this is not that big a deal and the price is right. Will consider trades, what do you have? I need a Falcon or Comet, no papers necessary, for a drag car project.
“1958 willys wagon for sale HAVE TITLE. you do not see many of these around. there is rust due to the age of the vehicle and it needs restoring. the interior has been updated and could be salvaged. engine is a 350 chevy i think was bored .30 over. 350 turbo trans. original 4 x 4 front end is still in the truck but is not hooked up. with some work could be a real head turner. 1000/obo or will consider a trade depending on what you have.”
(05/18/2010) I gotta say, BOTH bodies look pretty good.
