I wonder why this is sporting a Dana 23-2 rear end? The Dana 23-2 was used on the MBs/GPWs and early ’46. Next, the Dana 41 was used until the Late 1950 CJ-3As when the Dana 44 was installed. As best I can tell, all the M-38s used a Dana 44.

Comes with Advance Adapters Small Block Chevy to original Jeep T-90 transmission assembly($500 new), good transmission and good Transfer case, Dana 25 front axle, Dana 23-2 rear axle, 15 inch wheels with tires that are worn out. It appears the body was lifted but the radiator was left on the original mounts. Notice the spacer between the grille lower edge and the frame mounting points.
