UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

Apparently, the carb was changed in ’54 and there is a plaque on the dash verifying this?

“’43’ Willys Jeep, plaque on dash states that carburator was changes by army in ’54’ / Brakes and transmission gone through and repaired, good tires, engine also gone over. Gas tank needs cleaning. Price is firm, more into it than that.”

    If there was a specified change in the carburetor, a “modification work order”, known as an MWO, would be performed at a maintenance depot. An “MWO” tag would be placed near the data plate stating the modification, the depot that did the work, and the date of installation.

    Very interesting! I can’t remember seeing one of those on a dash. I’ll have to get a snap shot of one for my dash section.
