Brendan, from the This Old Jeep, found some great old images and history from the New York Conservation Department. Check out the ‘bumper card’ mod! Anyone know anything about this particular mod?
Cool…. pic number two is reversed. Jeep is not a lefty.
That is an interesting bumper mod. No clue what it’s for. Perhaps something to do with traveling over ice or snow?
I wonder if the bumper mod is there to keep debris away.
I would vote a “cow catcher” type of mod to remove debis from the path.
