(05/26/2010) Imagine my surprise when I looked at the last of the many images of this Jeep and learned this was a fiberglass tub! You don’t see many CJ-3B Fiberglass Tubs.

If that is indeed a fiberglass tub like the sales lot claims, it is a VERY good reproduction…There seem to be way too many seams at the dash, braces and stuff that suggest original metal tub with some mods…I also don’t understand why they tacked the tailgate back on when the rear of the tub is closed in…. The enclosed back and the steps are the only things that make me question my opinion of the tub being steel.. Everything else suggests steel tub…
It even has wrinkles where the dash is installed.

Agreed. The more closely I review this body the more elements of steel there appear to be. For example, I have never seen a fiberglass body with the seam along the top of the dash. Also, the cowl support looks welded on the driver’s side.
Now, the fenders look like they might be fiberglass judging from their undersides.
look nice, but don’t look original, the price is under the quality, for example the back door is fake, the tub look like metal, and much more.. anyway the car is nice…
