I’m not a FoMoCo guy. Does the exhaust cross over at the front of the engine? That looks hot (and not in a good way).

That is a truck exhaust system unlike a car exhaust. I also had 71 chev van that also was like that.

I believe it’s na old Ford 292 V8….one of Fords worse idea’s…that’s a stock exhaust system and the motors dripped oil, marking there spot.
I believe the 312s were Thunderbird motors the 292 were more the standard truck. Either way it is a “Y” block.
