I see inflation took its toll, the $50 it (supposedly) cost for a WW2 govt. surplus jeep in a shipping crate now costs $63 in 1965…
I remember these adds, whole jeep for $50– bring back memory’s of the plans of 14 year old’s to get rich fast . And then when I started my present job in 1981, I was issued one of those $ 8.79 typewriters..
