Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/17/2015) The jeep looks solid.
“Very rare cj-6 tuxedo park model with a 1/2 cab hardtop and doors. I know the asking price might be high (I am from Denver :), but I’m uncertain of the value of such a rare special edition model so before letting it go for less than I should, I figured I’d start at a price I love, and see where that goes. Also, it needs a little to be drivable but figured it may be of no use to make it drivable if someone is buying it to tear down and restore, so I’m listing it now, just in case you can’t live without this particular one!
I just bought this and not sure what to do with it? Get it running and enjoy it, or sell it and make a bit of money, so you might get to decide for me?
Its currently not in road worthy condition but it did get driven onto the trailer, so it would not take much money to make it road worthy. A battery, a carb, and the brakes gone through, and I’m sure a few other bits, but its not far from being drivable.
The paint job is great from 50′ with old eyes, and downright “quick and dirty” from 5′ with just about any eyes, but its still presentable and a pretty neat truck.
Rust is not absent by any means, but its not a rust bucket either. See photos in link below.

“1947 military issue flat fender Jeep Willys for sale. Asking $ 3,500. 4×4, 4 cylinder engine, not many rust spots and what is there is mostly surface rust. Recent tune up. Has front safari window. Would make a great hunting or ranch vehicle.”

“58 fc150 runs drives will stop just needs front rubber brake line new fuel pump plugs wires points coil has flat head 4cyl with spicer 18 trans (standard shift) dana44s this is acwidetrac model needs drivers door or to fix the one that’s on it selling as mud truck /parts due to no title I’ve talked to the state trooper he said will be no problem gettin new vin and paper work for it they them 2000 obo”
