Second pic battery box cover on cowl = M38A1
I saw that and did some digging proir to going with how the seller presented this one, and it has Jeep on the side and I did not see the APU plug on the side either.
This is the second one I saw recently with the battery box and was not sure if they are exclusively M38A1? I don’t know enough about those detail.
But I went with was missing other M38A1 then what it had.
Has a tailgate as well, while I read some M38A1 had tailgates, most did not.
Only has a single gauge dash, again I find some had that for M38A1, but how likely is it that its a single gauge dash, tailgate…
Makes for some good discussion.
I believe the earlier CJ-5s (like the 1956 listed on here yesterday from Jacksonville, Fl) had that battery box on the cowl. I can’t remember what year they changed that.
