Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Interesting Jeep, changeover to large front turn signals but still has the add on side marker lights. The rear locking hubs are a nice addition. With the V6, this may be a pretty good deal.
Forgot to include, California, low mile Jeep with Ramsey winch and spare tire/ gas can carrier.
Yes, 69 was an interesting transition year with the one-year only rectangle glass windshield (mid 68 – mid-69) and wiper motor under cover; reflectors on hood and body (we have those NOS). Has to be the earliest change to the front large TS and backing bezel from the beehive ambers. While I had heard of adding locking hubs to the rear, this is the first one I’ve seen. Wonder if there was an axle change to permit this. Speedo is an ’80 – 86 one (0 – 85). Seems like a very good price for what you get.
I was not aware of Speedo change, so I assume the mileage is not correct.
It looks like the trailer balls on the front bumper are used for some sort of towbar, although I have never seen one. It seems like it would function well or maybe they are just for boat launching.
I wonder if being so close to the ocean in California is a rust problem as it is in Florida? The picture of the floorboards look a little crusty.
Yeah, the double balls makes one guess. We almost bought Roy Clark’s ’72 CJ which had a ball dead center front and used it to launch his boat when he taught fishing in Oklahoma. This Jeep has gone through a transformation. Note also the deep dish Kelsey rims. The Renegade I was close to that year. With 50 years in the business, I don’t trust any milage on earlier CJs. Just like the military models – too easy to swap a speedo. So you look for supporting details. They were geared such you didn’t rack miles on them. Our ’71, pictured in the ad to the right, served the first half of its life on a Wyoming cattle ranch. It now has 13K miles on the orig speedo. The first 7K miles were over boulder -sized gravel. To the California climate issue. I was in the Jeep world out there for almost 4 years and didn’t see the rust issues like FL. Florida’s climate has consistent relative humidity with oceans on 3 sides. Nevertheless, your point about the floorboards should make one look closer. (The problem with Fakebook and Craigslist ads).
