INFORMATION FROM SELLER:
we’re selling a red 1950 Willys jeepster 2-door convertible, that was pruchased from the long time owner who had it restored about 20 years ago, using it only occasionally after that. this starts easily, runs well. the body is solid and rust free. it has the original reliable 4 cylinder engine, 3-speet manual transmission, a new interior, top, and side curtains, and many other new parts. it has some paint dings, chips, and scratches from being driven and stored in a small cramped garage. there is a spot on the rear fender that was repainted… also included is a thick file with lots of brochures, manuals, and receipts for all of the work that was done by the local restoration shop. we also have a few boxes of the older extra parts.
as far as i know, these jeepsters were sold by willys-overland motors from 1948 to 1951, with about 5,845 units produced. 1950 was the first year the jeepster introduced the v-shaped grille, and restyled cab.
it runs fine, but we just don’t use this enough, and i’m looking at another car… recently reduced to $9,800
