We have seen that style of towbar posted before, made out of a lower control arm. I am not sure if it is the same Jeep, or maybe some sort of a DYI build that was popular back in the day.
I bought a used Jeep in Yakima WA in 1968. It had a tow bar like that.

It seemed that way to me as well, but I didn’t have time to search for it when creating the post. We might have even identified it? It seems like that center hole was used for something.
I just spent some time searching through eWillys, but “tow bar” and “towbar are mentioned surprisingly frequently by sellers, so still no luck.
