This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Original Post February 20, 2014:
“You are bidding on a vintage 1943 photo postcard of a Jeep, soldiers and a lady. The card reads, Photo by U S Army Signal Corps. The card is postmarked Camp Pickett, VA 1943. The card is in very good condition.”

Original Post from Aug 2013: This is one of the stranger brochures I’ve come across. It’s part of Kaiser Foil’s 1st Annual Barbecue contest. The brochure is 28 pages. This one sold on eBay.
“Original color catalog , 7 x 6.5 , 28 pages . Covers and pages have bending at the corner , also all pages are stained and wrinkled at the corner . This brochure is filled will barbecue hints and many recipes showing various products . The rear cover shows a Jeep Station Wagon which was an award in the Kaiser Aluminum Championship . The covers of this catalog are made from aluminum .”
UPDATE: The City and City campaign was introduced to dealers in the January 1948 issue of Willys-Overland Sales News (page 10).
Originally published in 2013, this updated post includes better images (though a few still need better images) along with the dates of publishing (at least the ones I’ve found so far). This campaign appears to have been limited to 1948. There are thirteen ads in all. They appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, Colliers, and Life Magazine (and likely other places).
1) The “A Hit in Boston and Buenos Aires” ad was published in the February 07, 1948, issue of the Saturday Evening Post, page 108.
2) The “At Home in Portland and Paris” ad was published in the March 06, 1948, issue of the Saturday Evening Post, page 115. It was also published in Colliers Magazine, January 24, 1948, page 58.
3) The “Hailed in Minneapolis and Mexico” ad was published in the March 20, 1948, issue of Collier’s Weekly, page 68.
4) The “It’s the Same In San Francisco and Stockholm” ad was published in the April 10, 1948, issue of the Saturday Evening Post, page 111.
UPDATE: Price now $10,000 (and old pics back up). This was for sale back in 2015 You can see a very similar 1966 CJ-5 posted at Cherrybronco.com.

Revolution in Pleasantville, a motion picture describing the role of the Jeep in farm mechanization, has just been produced and made available for showing to farm groups. The revolution depicted in the film is one taking place all over the . . .
UPDATE: Back in 2012 I ran across a pic of this CJ-5 on Flickr (1st one shown below). Now, thanks to rob, we have a series of photos of this North Carolina CJ-5, custom built by the owner. Sure looks handy!
You’ve likely seen this video titled Steel Soldiers. It was something I posted back in 2008. The video was produced at WGTE Public Media. While the video can be viewed via youtube, the higher quality version can be still be seen on WGTE”s website. There are prototype jeeps, jeeps during war, post war jeeps, and even a few scenes at the end of the Yakima Ridge Runners racing around their area.
