This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Runs and drives.
“For sale is a 1961 Jeep Willys FC 170. The truck runs and drives just fine. It was used as cabin truck the last 20 years or so. The truck starts perfect and shifts and drives good. Drivers door has fallen off but I still have it. Still have the title. Would be an awesome project.”

It’s got an updated motor. Appears solid.

“I have a non-restored 1969 Jeep CJ5 with only 6,494 miles. NOT 64k. I am the second owner, bought many years ago from original owner who only used it to drive in the winter in Utah. Jeep still has the original 5 Goodyear Suburbanite tires on it, although they are weather cracked but hold air (tube tire). The rear deck on CJ5’s is normally beat, dented, rusted, etc but this rear deck is perfect. Never used for hauling.

It appears to have a replacement body.
“Nice jeep runs and drives good. Body is good has a few dents and dings and has very little rust. Has newer f head motor good tires and is 12volt. this little jeep is a nice little driver not perfect but very solid for a vehicle 66 years old.”

“im selling my 47 willys jeep with a flat head 4 in it 3 speed it run and drives good clean title it has a pto out put in it 4 wheel drive works too good tires are good the only thing wrong with it is it pops out of 2nd some times it very very little rust all most none”

(11/20/2014) Nice looking CJ-5. This is from the same collection as the CJ-6 that was available a few days ago.
“Up for auction is an unbelievably original 1965 CJ5 Tuxedo Park with 22,947 original miles. This Jeep has most of its original paint with paint code 226 and trim code of 227. The hood has been replaced due to the original hood being damaged many years ago. The replacement hood is a later style that does not have the typical early CJ water fording cover on the side and the footman loops are in the incorrect location.
This would be an easy fix however to make the Jeep correct again. The hood therefore does not have the original paint nor does the cowl because the paint was blended into the cowl to get a correct match. The Jeep has a 134 overhead four cylinder engine with a 3 speed column shift manual transmission, factory overdrive and 2 speed transfer case.

This jeep has been in my family for years and is in excellent working condition.
I have title in hand.
Serial tags on Engine, Firewall, and Frame are present and match.
Original engine.
No major modifications made. (the idea was to maintain the original vehicle)
“Three on the tree” gear shift.
Soft top cover with doors.
Heater
Tow bar with tow lights.
Original transmission allows you to disengage the transmission and tow the jeep where ever you want to go.
Extras include, maintenance manual, jack, an additional spare wheel/tire, trickle charger.”
