About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“47′ Willy’s Jeep CJ3A Project. It was a well known winning ex PRO MUDBOGGER BACK IN THE 80’s . It was retired from racing and became a land mark to find my buddies 4×4 Shop for last 20 years. I bought it while back with intentions of restoring it back to it former glory as a feared bogger. It had WAYYY too much lift and made the 44″ Super Swampers look like donut spares lol so I cut out a full 12” of lift kit and NOW IT LOOKS RIGHT!
Here’s the SPECIFICS: VIN plate still on firewall so I paid thc MVD do a VIN inspection which came back clear. I also paid to have a full background check done on the VIN and it’s been so long since registered it’s been kicked out of the system. Apply for lost title with a Surity Bond person (I have a guy) and hand in all the documentation I already got and you’ll have a title no problem. Or keep it a Offfoad toy. Continue reading →

“Awesome project, some things have been done such as transfer case upgraded to the Dana 20, engine has been pulled and I have a crate Buick 231 to go in, need adapter to the t90 transmission. Just seeing what’s out there as I really don’t have much time to work on it but not in a huge hurry to get rid of it. Title in hand.”
“Here is an excellent example of a restored 1948 CJ- 2A Jeep 4 x 4 built by Willy’s/Overland. Vehicle was found in a barn in the early 2000’s and completed in 2006. Body and paint work were performed by Rick Renshaw in Easton MD. Color is a urethane Vermont green by Ford. Everything on the Jeep is either rebuilt or new from the gas tank, fuel lines, brakes and hardware to the rebuilt differentials and leaf springs.
The Jeep has always been garage kept since restoration was completed and there appears to be no rust or rot anywhere. Paint is in excellent condition.
The ‘L-head’ 134 cu. in. /60 h.p. 4-cylinder engine is original as well as the T90 3-speed transmission and were totally rebuilt. The drive line has less than 1000 miles since completion.
Interior cushions were done in leather for comfort and the top, rear, and side curtains are new in the original canvas material with stenciling. The Willy’s Jeep was totally rewired and remains a 6-volt system (new battery). The gauges all work except for the fuel. Owner believes it is the sending unit.
Tires are the the original style 6.00 x 16”.
Selling for personal reasons.”

“I currently do not have all the information for this truck or the other Jeep that my Father is selling. I will be getting more information on it as I get it from him, but he is currently out of town and doesn’t have the Miles on the truck.
The story is, my father and I purchased 7 CJ jeeps and restored them or are in the process of doing so. Once I restored mine, I moved on, but he kept restoring the others. He is looking to get the amount of money that he has in them. Not to make a business out of this and make a huge profit. They are taking up space in his garages and he has purchased more projects. So keep these on the road and have some fun.
The truck runs and was painted by a professional. Since he has so many of them, they were all restored with the correct parts from Jeep dealers, mainly Walck and Kieser.”
“This is a 1948 CJ2A Willy’s jeep. My family and I have had 20+ years of fun with this jeep. Now it is time for a new home. I will not part it out or play games. I will sell it just as it sits.”
“Barn find, low miles, former civil defense vehicle , Been stored inside for 40 years , 1948 I think , applying for a title . The bed has some rust in it because the barn leaked, rest of the Jeep appears solid , engine turns over . Cash only ,no trades please”
