This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “FC-170 DRW in need of restoration. This truck is all original, it’s mostly complete, but the motor is currently disassembled. It has it’s original 6-cylinder 226 Super Hurricane. This has the T-98 4-speed transmission and a dual-cylinder hydraulic dump bed. It is 4×4 and has a PTO off the trans to drive the pump. It rolls, but doesn’t stop or drive. You will need a trailer. I’ve got too many other projects going and won’t ever get to this one. I have the title. ”

Mike pointed this FC my direction. Note the well done window system replacement. Looks like a Fairmont setup. Maybe this was a Hy-Rail at some point??

“1957 Willys FC-170 project, unfinished
L6-226 Super Hurricane engine.
Engine is solid and complete, all accessories are removed and stored but engine is good. It ran before I took the parts off the clean and paint everything.
I have to move so I must sell my project. I have spent hundreds of hours collecting parts, repairing rust, cleaning frames, doing body work, painting, and polishing. I have 95% of the parts to finish this project, you just need some soft parts for the doors and some rubber parts here and there. There are a lot of parts not pictured. I am available to show this after 5 on weekdays and on weekends. Don’t waste my time by telling me you are coming and not showing up. I have a lot of ads out and don’t have time for that shit. $3200 OBO.”

Frame restoration completed, painted, new leaf springs, all new wheel, axle and differential bearings, new front & back ring and pinion, new front hubs, all new brake components, steering rebuilt with new steering wheel. Extra cab (sans roof) included for cab restoration. Engine dissembled and ready for you to rebuild. Lots of extra parts included (dash panels, 15 inch rims primed and ready for tires. Currently on 16 inch Willys wheels / tires which are included. Currently a rolling chassis – not an assembled truck! All parts removed, tagged and bagged. Body and truck bed still need restoration. Floor board rusted out, right rear dented. I have a donor cab available (and included) for those needs.“

New steering wheel Custom dash with new gauges. New heater core in rebuilt heater box. Much, much more.
This truck would make a great advertising vehicle for a company use you imagination. Has maybe 40 miles on it since rebuilt. Has a clean title Drive it home today.”
