This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (02/26/2014) This former California FC appears to still have a California black plate on the front.
“YOU ARE LOOKING AT MY 1964 JEEP FC170. IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE AND STUMBLED ACROSS THIS AUCTION CHECK OUT THEFCCONNECTION.COM. I HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE OTHER OF THESE TRUCKS IN PERSON AND IT WAS A FC150, SHORTER BED AND SOME OTHER THINGS. ONCE I SAW IT I KNEW I HAD TO FIND ONE. THIS FC SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN CALIFORNIA WHICH IS WHY IT IS SO PRESERVED. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A CAMPER WHICH IS WHY IT IS IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE. MILEAGE SHOWS 25K AND I BELIEVE IT TO BE FAIRLY ACCURATE BUT CAN NOT GUARANTEE THAT. IT HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY CUSTOMIZED.

“1957 Jeep FC (Forward Control) project that I do not have time to finish and need the space. I have two chassis, one in the process of being put back together and the other untouched,. There is one cab and one bed, two engines (one rebuilt) Also included are all of the parts that came off both vehicles. 3 dana 40 axles, 1 dana 30.

Since I have not been able to sell as a project, I will part it out. let me know what you need and lets make a deal. Will also consider trades for something cool?”

“I have a Willys FC Jeep truck for sale. Truck is a rolling chassis with engine and no trans or transfer case. Front windshield is still intact. I also have a rolling frame with engine and no trans or transfer case for the same year FC Jeep. I do not have titles for either of them. They are to be sold as is complete for parts. (01/27/2011) The passenger side doesn’t look all that rusty. It runs, though no word on whether it stops.

It doesn’t run.
Just 1,519 Jeep FC’s 170’s were built in this configuration in 1958. This is a very original truck down to the Montgomery Ward’s brand tires that have been holding air continuously for the 20 years this truck has been in the family. The only non-original feature is that it has been converted to 12volt, but 6 volt components are included to convert it back. It has been stored in doors since 1994. We have had it running some years ago and the engine is not stuck. But… it is one of those projects that we just haven’t found the time for and it deserves to be passed on to someone that will fix her up and show off this rare, collectible truck. It does have some rust, but it is vey repairable and the windshield IS NOT cracked.”
