“1945 Ford GPW. 305 Chevy V8, 3 speed manual, 4 wheel drive. New 31″ BFG KM2, fresh paint. Runs great. New headlights, marker lights, driving lights, steering wheel and Ford stem caps. Will go anywhere. Street legal.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
“1942 Ford GPW. Project worth restoring. We have owned this for about a year, before that it was sitting in a shed for something like 20+ years. I got it running and have moved it around the property a few times, sounds pretty good. I haven’t checked the data plate numbers yet but I think it is an early 1942. Frame looks pretty good, Body needs some work but I don’t see any rust issues. I have a drivers seat frame not in the picture. We do have a title, it was a lot of work and money but we got it. 42 GPW’s are getting very difficult to find these days and nice restored ones are getting very expensive. Foresthill is 15 minute out of Auburn off HWY 80.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
(08/28/2012) This runs and drives. It looks like the rear of the body has been patched and/or repaired.
“1942 Ford GPW for sale . Partial restore. Body clean, needs a little work, glass is good, seats restored, The engine purr’s like a kitten. The transmission is good, a bit of whirl in the drive line. New rubber on original rims. Electrical is good. Dash is in good shape with seal. Jeep also comes with a winch if needed (not installed), tow bars. Overall the jeep is clean and runs well. Mechanically it will not need a much work. Jeep runs great. Is a great restoration project that should be relatively easy. Gets a lot of thumbs up going down the road.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200
This is a mix of MB/GPW parts and CJ-2A.
“I have basically a complete 1946 CJ2A that is completely disassembled. I restored a 1943 GPW for a guy and have this parts Jeep leftover. Almost everything is there, but it is a major project or parts for your project. Have an Iowa title, but can not find a VIN on the frame. Usually not a problem with these older Jeeps.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2800.
(05/16/2013) It’s a little beat up and doesn’t run.
“I bought this with the intention of restoring it, but I have to many projects and something needs to go,so this is it…..This is a rare 1942 Ford Script Jeep…Has the Ford Script on the back of the body…These are some of the ones that bring top dollar once restored….Still has the original Data Plates with serial number 14976 with a Delivery date of 4-8-1942…….I believe to have been overhauled by the Military back in the 1960’s……The body has had some modifications over the last 70 plus years, but the body is not a total loss,it will however require alot of panel replacment and or welding….Frame is in good shape no major damage or rust….Has a set of seat frames and the original windshield…..Engine does not run…I have an original GPW motor that I will exchange for the one that is installed in the Jeep now…..it will need a complete restoration, but it will be worth the investment….I have a clear Oklahoma Title……I am asking $2800.00 Dollars or make a fair offer.CASH ONLY”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.

This jeep was saved from a scrapyard.
“2 Ford GPW Jeep for parts or restoration. Serial number shows date at around April 1944. Has a later model F head motor installed that is probably stuck. Body is rough with a lot of rot in floor. Rough extra body tub with good floor and other needed parts is included in the sale of this Jeep. Drivetrain, except motor, looks original and complete, working condition unknown.
Lots of “F” script parts and accessories are still present on this Jeep. Interested local buyers are welcome to look it over for themselves. Could be a wealth of parts to complete your GPW Jeep restoration, or….? No title or paperwork.
Please, no texts, low-ballers or scrappers. This Jeep was saved from the scrapyard, and it isn’t going back to it…”
