About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“THIS SHARP 1954 WILLYS JEEP M38-A1 ARMY COMES FROM A LOCAL
COLLECTION. THIS JEEP HAD A TOTAL RESTORATION APPROXIMATELY 8
YEARS AGO AND HAS BEEN STORED IN A CLIMATE CONTROLED GARAGE.
THIS JEEP IS CLEAN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ONE
PLACE ON THE HOOD (see pic) RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. YOU WILL BE
PROUD TO DRIVE THIS ONE IN YOUR LOCAL PARADES OR CAR SHOWS.”
This doesn’t run, but the body appears to have potential.
“M38A1 Willy’s Jeep, project vehicle, has no title, has good vin with bill of sale. Body is in restorable condition, has a few dings and dents and a little rust in the floor, overall pretty solid. Currently it is not running, it is missing the gauge cluster and drive shafts. Has good tires and tow bar, it flat tows nice and would make someone a great project jeep. Located in Witts Springs, AR.”
“M38A1 Willys welding variant used during korean war. Frame off, lots of parts. 95% complete, come get the only one known to exist in the USA. No looky loos. Call or contact for more pictures. (206) 713-7799 – Richard”
Eric spotted this unusually modified M-38A1 that used to be a mess. It’s a different kind of slat grille. It might be a fun ride?
“This is not a restored original. See pictures
The only salvageable parts were the chassis, the motor, (rebuilt), the steering wheel, rear ends, transmission, and speedometer.
It is registered as an antique vehicle, and is in good running condition. The mileometer reads 56,349 miles, but I cannot vouch for the accuracy. Approximately 2,000 miles have been put on since the motor was rebuilt.
The motor is an L-head Overland motor.
This is a “one of a kind” vehicle, which you must see to appreciate!!”
“Nice original A1 that was used by the Sheriff’s dept. All original 24v. waterproof ignition, and carburetor. Runs and drives excellent. Needs master cylinder.
Body is in very nice condition, has all the seats. Toolbox is in nice condition, just surface rust. Sold as is, no warranty express or implied.. please email with questions.. Thanks”
John spotted this one. The seller notes this jeep was hit by a projectile. Maybe there is more information on the backside of photo? It certainly got hit with something.
“from estate of US MP who was stationed in Japan and Korea during the 1950’s – winning bidder pays 2.00 postage – Pay Pal preferred, payment within three days of auction’s close – Thanks for looking, Lee”
This appears to be a good price. Looks solid. The fenders appear to be later model ones, given the divot for the side light.
“completely rebuilt, new CJ5 soft top, has 15 inch wheels and tires, comes with the original 16 inch wheels and tires, 4 cyl ( OHV) engine, runs great. call 814-280-1976 between 3:00-8:00 pm”

This looks like a good one. What’s the metal hook sticking out above the jockey box?
