UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3200.
This looks like a great price for a solid, non stock M-38A1.
“One of the last batch of M381s made for the Marine Corps in the mid 60s (manufactured 10/63). Nice straight body with a few extra holes but otherwise pretty much original. There is some rust in the foot wells as usual but the rest is rust free and original. Runs and drives very well. Cute little Ford 2.8L V6 engine (few hundred miles on a new long block) nicely installed but the rest of the drive train is original. Original limited-slip rear end. Steering & seats are not original but all can be reasonably reversed if you are so inclined. In the meantime it runs great and looks good. A great parade vehicle or for having fun on trails, sand dunes, etc. More powerful and more comfortable than a totally original jeep is a plus.
Koenig winch, drive shaft, and PTO (tranny was rebuilt recently and PTO is not yet installed). Roll bar and new belts are included. Tow bar included (she tows like a dream).
Clean Oregon title, Special Interest plate.
Priced to reflect the non-original condition. Only $3200 for a nice looking and great running historical military Jeep.”

“1952 US Army M38A1 Willys Jeep
A running, driving 1952 M38A1 Jeep. It has been restored, but it is an older restoration. It has been a fun around town driver for me for the last year and a half. It is not perfect, but it is a complete, original (as in all the parts are there) jeep. Has a rarer depot rebuilt engine. Leave as, tinker with on the weekends, or do a complete tear down. Still has the 24v electrical system. All fluids changed when I bought it. Tires have age cracking. Have a new set of rubber brake lines.”
Mark just posted this over at warjeeps.com.
“This rare seat came out of a 1952 M38A1 and it will also work in an M38 Military Jeep as well. It has the original canvas bottom seat but is missing the back cushion. The bottom seat canvas cushion is in good condition for being 61 years old and C Frame is in good condition as well. I am asking $350.00 …a fair price.”
UPDATE: This dropped to $600!
