Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This used to be a civil defense jeep. Hopefully, there is some documentation to support it.

It’s a M38A1, with an inline four Hurricane engine, 4×4 three speed, with low / high transfer case.

It runs. According the Ad title this was used by the Navy; I wonder if it includes a Navy plate of some type.

Great condition.
Jeep runs and drives, 4×4 works, tires and rims all original. Just needs a paint job, and get the seat reupholstered. This is a rare jeep and is a great project vehicle. California pink slip in hand and tags are already paid for and current. This was supposed to be a father son project car, but things came up and we don’t have the time or money for it.”
