Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have 2 willy’s pickups for sale. The 1952 has engine and transmission, starter just rebuilt and new battery. The 1949 has just the body and parts of an engine. These are in good condition. Buyer must buy both. There also is a cab of another willy’s pickup and other parts. All goes for $2500 firm.”

“1951 Willy’s Pickup 4wd Project Vehicle. It was used to drill holes for blasting. It is 4WD. It has a PTO that could be used for some other purpose like running a winch. It needs a distributor cap, plug wires, a coil and a battery. It has a straight 4 engine. The tires are not in good shape but would probably hold air long enough to get it on a trailer.
I am not willing to part it out or let you work on it for a few days to see if you can get it running.”

Dan spotted this possible gem.
“Running, current registration, 250 cu in Chevrolet 6 motor. Original 3 speed trans and drive train. Locking hubs. 6:50 X 16 MS front tires in good condition, rear MS tires are new (not shown in photos). Need to be restored, far from perfect condition. The motor is old, but runs smooth and quiet. This is a cash sale and I have a clean title. This is a fair price and a firm one. ”

“Selling my 1950 Willys Jeep Truck in 3 condition out of 6 based on Old Car Prices Guide. It was painted last year but not by a professional. The gas, temp. Batt. Gauges work. It had a new metal gas tank and new fuel pump. It runs and drives and stops. Not bad for a 50s jeep. Tires are average. 2 wheel drive only about 7000 were made
It comes with a complete 4 wheel drive front end and extra rear end.”
