About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Here is a 1946 Willys Jeep done RatRod style. It has the Patina look exterior with clear coat sprayed over it. It has a good running 350 engine and a smooth shifting 350 Transmission. It sits on S-10 frame with P/S and P/B. Yes it has rust in different places but just adds to the character. It has no glass in it except the windshield. It runs and drives good. It”s just a cool ride that you could drive and enjoy as is or restore as you like.”
“Fantastic 1955 Jeep – Runs Smooth and Drives.
This is a fantastic Jeep. Engine is the original and preferred 226-L6 Super Hurricane flat 6 and was just gone through by an experienced classic car guy. Partial restoration is done. Body is fantastic and rust free. Starts easy, runs great and fun to drive. This is a vintage 1955 Jeep Wagon, America’s first 4×4 SUV. It will climb 57 degree grades (although I have not tried) and brings smiles everywhere it goes. Ready for the new owner to recover the seats and side panels in desired color. This is a GOOD ONE – Body not rusted. Work done in 2013/2014 includes: New fuel pump and lines, New fuel tank, Professionally overhauled Carb, New water pump and hoses, conversion from 6v to 12v with new Willys alternator and battery, and much more. Fun to tinker and will be an easy restoration finish as show car or daily driver. This vehicle is complete; original seats (front and rear) acquired and ready for cover. All parts ever needed in future are easily available from Willys – easy to work on. If you are interested is a unique, fun vintage Jeep, please email.”
(09/20/2014) Looks like a nice wagon. Seller is having an ignition problem, but it does run. It may only be for sale through the weekend.
“ok so here’s the deal. I posting my wagon for sale through the weekend because quite frankly I’m frustrated. It has a 1970 ford 250 L6 with clifford headers and T90 3 speed with overdrive and twin stick transfer case that where both recently (less then a year ago) rebuilt. Just had all new leaf springs, shackels and shocks put on. I started having ignition problems a couple weeks ago and, not being terribly mechanically inclined, especially with electronics, I don’t want to deal with it right now. I just put in a new pertrnix electric points and flame thrower coil, all new plug wires and distributor cap. Until this it was my daily driver and is a blast to drive. It IS running right now but I don’t know that I would trust it to drive very far. it has some other non mechanical issues that are fairly simple, needs the speedometer/gauge cluster repaired or replaced, about a hundred bucks for a new replacement, the drivers door handles needs to be replaced, all the parts for which are easily available on E bay. It has some rust as would be expected on a car this old and it needs a U joint to put the front drive line back in. I was planning on replacing the pulley system windshield wipers(which has been converted to electric) to individual motors. I also have a bunch of random extra parts. Really, for someone with some mechanical skills this could be a damn nice rig fairly easily. get it before I change my mind…”
“This is a rare willys jeep! It’s 4×4 with a 4 cylinder hurricane motor which has a fresh rebuilt by jasper. Has new glass all the way around which was 2300 between glass and rubber seals! Runs great! Just needs interior work. Great project car!”
“1940 to 1950 Willys Jeep Panel Wagon
2 wheel drive no engine or transmission
It did have a small block chevy engine
Best offer gets the Jeep
Needs restoration”
The Union online newspaper published a father & son story by Ron Cherry about their restoration of a 1956 wagon. The end of the story was a bit unexpected.
It’s a project, but still may be worth a close look.

“1961 Willys Station Wagon 4×4
New rebuilt 226 engine..
New complete brake job…
Some body rust.. Repaired tailgate…
Tranny whines..
Drivable..
Working on title??”
I am listing this for a neighbor who has owned it the past 5 years. The Jeep was repainted in 1997 and it appears that there were panels cut out and replaced back then. It was obviously professionally done and the paint still shines nice today. It is starting to show its age. There is minor rust starting to show on the insides of doors.
It has had a lot of new parts put on it over the last 5 years he has had it. Recently, a new clutch, carb rebuild, and new exhaust from the manifold back. The 6 volt system is still intact.
The Jeep comes with the original owner’s manual, spare tire and jack.
It starts right up and runs like it should. It does have an oil leak or two but the engine is completely as it was in 1960. All the glass is excellent. The original radio even worked until last year. The Jeep was originally purchased new in Missouri and this makes him the 3rd owner of it. The rig is very roadworthy (he takes it to car shows 50 miles away), however he recommends trailering it long distances.
I will handle all offers, emails, phone calls, etc. and will do my best to answer any questions. He works away from home and I can be around anytime to show the Willy’s. ”
Looks pretty good for not having run in ten years.
“1957 Willys Station Wagon with a L226 Super Hurricane 6 Cyl engine. Vehicle is all original, ran when parked 10 years ago, but does not run now. Clean title and located near Abilene Texas. Body does have some rust, but in pretty good shape for a 1957 model. This vehicle is a four will drive and also has an over drive which acts like a gear splitter. I have plenty of pictures and even a video I can e-mail. Serious inquiries only. ”
