This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Willys Wagon with Chevy 350/350 automatic transmission. 2 Wheel Drive. Power front disc brakes, independant front suspension, new windshield and rubber seal, bucket seats, tow hitch, upgraded electrical.
Runs and Drives excellent, lots of power, current registration and title in hand.”

I’ve seen worse. It doesn’t run at the moment.
“About 95% original/complete. Has original L6-226 flathead engine, 3-speed trans with hi/lo transfer case, 4×4, locking front hubs, 12 volt electrics, and tow bar. 2-door body with tailgate, original seats, original heater, and aftermarket AM/FM/cassette. I bought it about 16 years ago planning to restore it, but too many other projects. This one needs to go to someone with more time and skills.
The engine ran when I got it, but smoked a lot and lacked power; needs a rebuild/replacement. It hasn’t been run in a long time, but is not siezed (can be turned by hand).The body had been repainted and looked great when I bought it, but the paint covered a lot of hidden rust and Bondo that are now showing (arrows in photos, apparently it spent a lot of time around salt water.) The frame appears sound, the windows not cracked or broken but some are starting to haze.
This has possibilities – restore it as a classic (the very first of the SUVs), build it into a custom 4×4, or use it for parts. (The parts value is more than my asking price, so it is FIRM.)”

“I have a 1952 willys jeep wagon I want to get rid of. Preparing to move, don’t have time to mess with it and really don’t want to have to move it, but will if I have to. Run’s, battery’s dead at the moment but will take and hold a charge. I’ve been gone overseas for a year and haven’t started it all summer. Would make a great restoration project for someone. 1,500 OBO. If interested email me and I’ll get back to you ASAP. Clear title too.”

“59 Willys Wagon $4000. 401 Amc V8 : 670 Holly , ProComp elecct. ignition, Alimn. valve covers,KN filter, Optimus yellow top battery. 78 Wagoneer drive train : Dana 44s front and rear ( 307 gearing ) th400 auto, quadratrac transfercase with low range unit. Part time kit installed, with mile marker hubs. Power brakes ( front discs ) Painless wiring ( all conections soldered & shrink tubed ) Electric winsheild wipers. New heater core. New interior (carpet need some finishing) Glass all good. Paint , good not excelent. No rust.Trim newly chromed. Original seating ( reupolstered ) . Custom steering wheel & column. Locar e-brake. More. Almost complete, minor details left. Streetable”

Peter from Germany is making progress on his wagon build. His buddy Thorsten is helping him out with engineering ideas and welding help. You may remember Peter’s quest to locate a 3-wing hood ornament and a door handle, which he found thanks to readers. He notes that he wanted to have it build completely from jeep parts, but deciding to throw in some heated seats from a Mercedes Vito. Personally, that sounds like a good idea to me! Peter says he’ll send some pictures of the build when finished.
