This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Lycoming developed a generator/starter for planes that fit in the back of a jeep. I am guessing that this ad is probably from an aviation magazine, because I found an article about the Lycoming generator in the 1952 Aviation Weekly. Unfortunately, I could only view a snippet of it in Google. There is also a discussion of it at the CJ-3B Page.

This is a slightly different Go-For-Digger Brochure than I’ve seen. Here the two others I’ve seen: a blue version and a green version.

This interesting brochure documents some of the uses of the Kaiser-Willys engines. This is the first document I’ve seen that shows the different ways the engine was used (though not all the ways).
“This brochure is in very nice condition for its age with very minor light wear. It is addressed to Thew Shovel Company. This piece measures 8.5″ wide by 5.5″ closed and 17″ x 11″ open.”

Here’s a brochure I hadn’t seen.
“I am liquidating my 45 year collection/ of original Willys literature. Almost all is perfect; Defects will be noted. Many at auction right now. This is a Willys Original Folio. Opens to approx. 17″ x 11″ Folds closed for mailing. Some red bleed down center”

This indicates these systems were designed for dump trucks, jeep trucks, scouts, and probably others.
“Here is a vintage Monarch Hydraulic power Controls for you snowplow, circa late 1950s.
Includes battery operated and fan belt driven models.
The brochure has models, HEP Dyna-Might, and the TUH or Hy-Lo-Jack.
On the back page is the Hy-Lo for Jeep model operates off fan-belt of Willys Jeep, CJ and 226
Also the model H-SC Hydraulic control fro the new International Scout.
Also HFC for Jeep, Monarch Controls for the Forward-Control Jeep.
There are also two other sheets.
One sheet show the break down of the UHT-JA (Hy-Lo-Jeep), parts list, parts price on the backside.
The other sheet is an photo showing the Hy-Lo-Jack Type UHT-J and TUH cut in half, with parts labeled.”
Here’s a neat golf and jeep ad from 1965.
“Auto Brochure – Kaiser Jeep Corporation – Jeep – Product Line Overview – Code: DM 65-03 (interpret as 1965 from the Code) -12 pages – Colour – approx. 11 x 8.5 inch page – rust on staples and on paper in immediate vicinity, toning (brightness reversion) with age – postally mailed; address label affixed.”

I liked that the jeep fire truck and the cargo personnel carrier showed up in the ad. They are pretty rare to see in ads.

This is located in Canada, but was originally mailed to a dealer in Iowa.
