Here’s another QSL card with a jeep. The Blue’s refers to the blue mountains which are just over an hour south of us in Oregon.

UPDATE: **WARNING** There are only two jeeps pictured in the book!!! Buyer beware.
“This auction is for a 1943 book filled with cartoons about WWII. It is titled “Jeeps and Jests” by Bruce Bairnsfather. The book has cartoons on every page– about 60 pages in all. The condition of the book is good. The binding is solid and there are no rips. The main flaw is that there are some faint spots on the covers and scattered in the book.”

Here are two great nightscape pictures by Rob Cord of the jeep sculpture at Borrego Springs. He owns and operates Driven2Perfection. Rob’s grandparents live near Borrego Springs and he has been visiting the area yearly for thirty years. He’s a Willys nut who has this CJ-2A for sale. Thanks for sharing Rob!
Mark forwarded a linke to Carhenge, an outdoor sculpture just outside Alliance, Nebraska. It turns out a Willys Truck was one of the vehicles used to create it. If we have time, we’ll stop by here and check it out on our way back from the East Coast.

Mike shot this cool, but sorrowful picture.
I never imagined someone would make soldier figurine soaps.
“This is a wonderful vintage children’s set, designed for little boys by the Helene Pessl Company. It is an Army Jeep with three figural soap soldiers. This set is from the 1940’s or 1950’s, as best I have been able to determine. The Soldiers fit into the bottom of the Jeep, and the Jeep slips into the outer box. It is in decent condition, showing some wear on the Jeep parts that fold, and appears to be missing a couple cardboard details from the Jeep. The soaps have never been used… it is being sold ‘as is’. The entire package measures 7 inches (17.5 cm) long by 3 inches (8 cm) wide and 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) tall.”
