This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Total frame-off restoration completed in 2000, driven less than 1500 miles since then. Harvard Red (original ’46 Willys color), rebuilt transmission, differential, fuel system, etc., new clutch. Converted to 12 volt electricals. Aftermarket soft top with doors and windows. Always garaged. Runs like a top. Not a rock climber — but a great street vehicle.”

“1947 Willys jeep for sale. Flat head 4 cyl motor, 5 new tires, has 1947 plates so no tabs, register once then done. The body is in good shape, very little rust. Motor and transmission and transfer case rebuilt. Has all new wiring. Also there is a military 1/4 ton trailer. Arctic top and tons of extra parts including, transmission, 2 transfer cases, 2 pto gear boxes, 2 cases of oil filterss, extra carburetor, 1case of 0weight grease for front end and more.”
